“Birth Place Of Gita”
Reviewed December 23, 2012

visited this place many times since my early childhood as kurukshetra is my birthplace. it is 5 km from main town on kurukshetra -pehowa road. most revered holy site ,birth place of Gita. Before begining of Mahabharta war Arjuna received eternal message of Bhagavad Gita from Lord Krishna under vatvriksh (banyan tree) to remove his confusions why to fight with his own relatives & gurus. Bhagavad Gita is based on doctrine of karma & dharma. Lord Krishna showed Arjuna his Viratrup. It is said that this banyan tree is witness of Gita updesh.
later on a chariot was established, banyan tree was safeguarded by a net
This place has many small temples, a pond for bathing .
light & sound programme on gita is held here every evening in Hindi & English
