I am visitor to this museum since established in 1987 by kurukshetra development board. it has 3 blocks having 7 gallaries.Main theme of museum is Lord Srikrishna,Kurukshetra,Mahabharata war.
Lot of artefacts depicting life of Krishna,incarnation of God Vishnu, great lover,hero,philospher.Its all galleries show Krishna in diffrent way
1st gallery -ivory,woodcraft,metal gallery
2nd gallery- archaelogical items collected from various parts of India
3rd gallery- miniature &manuscripts
4th gallery- folk art gallery
5th gallery- regional styles paintings on mahabharata
6th gallery tableaux on Krishna
7th gallery-multimedia mahabharta & gita gallery, most beautiful, recently opened to public in Feb 2012
Display of murals,paintings,mahabharata story are too jmpressive. treat to eyes.
open from 10AM to 5PM, monday closed
photography is not allowed inside, whole area inside is under CCTV surveillance
Entry ticket Rs 30/ above 10 years, Rs 10 below 10 years of age.
