A nice, quiet and peacful place. The Haveli overlooksthe small village of Poshina. Unfortunately the village is by far not as well kept as the Hotel. Miles away from everything - the trips to the surrounding villages by jeep are very slow and tiring. Why stick to cross country vehicles if almost all the roads are paved? Service personnel still seems little used to foreigners, especially single travel women. All in all for the price some adjustments have to be made!

Thank-you very much for your feedback.Regarding the village,we are slowly trying to cleanup and educate the people also.We have started distributing free bags for shopping to the villagers and tribals.Hopefully the village will become as clean as the property.Yes,the jeep rides are not as comfortable as cars, but then open jeeps are a good way to see things and the car would be at risk on the river. However we will ask guests if they wish to travel in their own car.The staff are all tribals and will take time,if given a chance.

I would like to share my experience of staying @ Darbargarh.

I stayed there at the end of 2011, with my parents, and what a joyous stay we had.... Unfortunatley our stay was not long enough....

The hosts are truly fantastic people and the kindness and care we received were tremendous. My Father became unwell and the treatment he received was fantastic, words cannot describe.....

The grounds of the property are truly tranquil, peaceful and calming....

The standard of the rooms are 100%, and we could not wish for anything better.....

Food and hospitality are top class, and a very personal service given....

This is most certainly the place to stay if you wish to escape the busy world for some tranquil moments and beautiful people and scenery.......

Thank you........
We were very sad to leave and one day we will be returning........

Room Tip: Go for the large room at the back with the "three bears beds"..... Lovely

Darbargadh Palace you will be well taken care of in a heritage home full of character and grace. With hosts and staff that sincerely care you have a great experience. There is plenty on offer to see and do, it was the perfect balance to India’s usual tourist highlights. Poshina just outside the gates is a pleasure to discover its authentic village life. The people are warm, welcoming and curious.
The drive through the countryside left a sense of experiencing Gandi’s India with the day to day life and its people in colour that will astound you. Both my daughter and I reflect this was the best time we had in India. We highly recommend it for adding diversity and insight to the real India we came to love.

Room Tip: I have been nicknamed "The Princess who packed her own Pea" so we stayed in one of the nicest rooms. Beds still hard for this princess but Im sure I can convince them to up grade a few for fuss pots like me.

We were a group of 26 people went on 28th to31st October,2011. A fantastic experience!!!... Ideal for a very relaxing and at the same time an adventurous holiday for the people who love nature, seek peace and quiet atmosphere. The rooms are clean with spacious bathroom. Many seating arrangements options within the property where one can sit and chitchat with families ,friends or co-guests. Nice Indian food makes you feel like at home!!!! Great hospitality & friendly attitude of Kr. Harendrapal sinh& his Son Mrigvendrapal Sinh. One of the most beautiful country sides with colorful tribes.

A beautiful lake just 5 km. from the place. Jungle safari by jeep was mind blowing!!!.. Especially seating top on the roof of jeep in the jungle……….. Good option for weekend travelers from Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar and nearby places.

Overall ***** 5 Stars, and my one of the "Must Go To Places". :-)
