Yes it was inexpensive, but that doesn't mean it should be filthy. We were there for the Tour de France, so there was no chance of trying to relocate, but really this place was a pig sty. We had to spend 2 nights here. When we came back mid day to get something from the room, we couldn't get in. They literally close down between 2 and 5 in the afternoon I think it was. So our card key wasn't working in the door and there was no one at the desk. I've heard of no one at the desk in the middle of the night at some places, but the middle of the day?! Then when we went to check out, they couldn't take our normal VISA card, which we had booked and held the room with. It didn't have a chip in it, so then we had to find cash to pay. The P'tit Dej is the economy version of the Interhotel chain of hotels. I figured this would be like a Motel 6 then. In their dreams are they a Motel 6. I like the next step up in Interhotels family of hotels and will write about that when we happily left Lempdes and headed for Grenoble - but never would I stay at another P'tit Dej hotel. YUCK!
