A wonderful house with panoramic views, comfortable rooms, own swimming pool and access to tennis court. Convenient ( by car) for the Peligoni Club. The house was a key factor in us having a really great holiday. We will definitely return.

“Spacious villa of very well considered design in a fabulous location - ideal for a family holiday.”

A family party of 14 stayed in Tal Hamsa for 2 weeks and we all really enjoyed it. The villa is extremely well designed and thought out, with areas for sun and shade and plenty of room to accommodate times when people wanted to do different things, either in smaller groups or just some time alone. The view is terrific and the location being up in the hills meant there was often a nice gentle breeze to temper the sun's heat.
Bedroom are all air conditioned and the housekeeping staff were helpful attentive and unobtrusive. Support staff are always available and were very quick to respond to the few minor hiccups that occurred during our stay.
The pool was great, rarely unoccupied and well maintained. One small thing that really showed the type of thought that has gone into the place, was the provision of a couple of cooler boxes and ice packs, so you can bring a few cold item down to the pool for everyone.
Similarly the large ipod docking station provided was well used for the "holiday playlists" we made and the wi-fi signal was excellent even with many users. Also, as the villa is quite from other properties, noise was not a concern.
The owners have established a great relationship with the local store who are happy to deliver whatever you need up to the villa, even a short notice. Jackie even sends a shopping list before you leave home, so you are stocked up with essentials when you arrive.
The villa has large family dining areas, and a large barbecue, so we had some great family evenings eating together. The kitchen is spacious and there are plenty of fridges to keep all your food and drink chilled.
We also had some great meals out at nearby restaurants, Nicos in particular worthy of mention, and all the local were really friendly and welcoming.
You do need cars to get around, we hired 2 family sized cars and soon got to know the roads. We also managed a couple of day trips to Limni Keri for scuba diving days out with "turtle beach diving" who were the most well organised dive club I have been with to date.
The local boat trips to the blue caves were also great, with opportunities to snorkel and helpful friendly captains.
Even the swimming and snorkelling in the bay Agios Nikolaos port was fantastic, with the sea so warm and clear, the kids loved it. Pitta Gyros a must between swims!
There's a safe for your valuables, but we never got any sense of security concerns.
we made good use of the tennis courts, which were excellent, although best not to play at midday!

We stayed at Tal Hamsa for a week to celebrate 3 ladies 50th birthdays! We were a group of 9 ladies! We had an absolute fantastic week, the villa and the Pink House are fabulous and Nicoletta and her team cannot do enough for you. The villa and Pink House are well equipped with everything you need - we ate in 6 out of 7 nights purely because the villa is so fantastic. There are plenty of seating areas + chairs and sofas to accommodate large groups and also plenty of cutlery and plates etc. Two of us drove and whilst the roads are quite narrow and steep we are novices driving abroad and managed without too much stress! The local village is quaint and the people cannot do enough to help you. Definitely recommended and would love to think we could visit again! Thanks to Pauline (the owner) for all her advice and information.

The perfect spot for big groups allowing for everyone to get together. Rooms lovely and the cleaning services were excellent. Local supermarket cannot do enough for you - supplied me with 3 beautifully fresh whole chickens on a days notice, direct to the villa. Would recommend the Greek night on friday nights as great fun and lovely location. Also, would definately recommend hiring our quad bikes as they are very reasonably priced and fantastic fun (and great for topping up your tan) and gentle meandering aroudn the island. Would definately go again if the chance arose. Thank you for all the lovely touches.

“Wedding Party Villa”

I stayed at the Tal Hamsa for the week of my wedding over in Zante with 25 of our friends and family, the villa was perfect for large groups it combines amazing views, greek charm, relaxing remote location with perfect acilities for cooking and sharing with a large group of people.

The facilities are of a high standard, lovely clean and big swimming pool, tennis court, table tennis, large chimnea BBQ and several large seating areas (We managed to get 35 people around a table on the Tal Hamsa villa terrace one night)

Pauline and John Dorman (The owners) were very helpful and ensured we had everything we needed for our stay, they were able to provide cots, additional pull out beds, high chairs etc which was very helpful. They were always available to help throughout our stay which was great.

We hired the Tal Hamsa and the Pink House together. The Tal Hamsa is a large house with three levels, all rooms were decorated with a nice contemporary greek feel, were very clean and comfortable and all had use of an en-suite. The pink house is very quaint, it has its own large kitchen and plenty of facilities for cooking etc.

I would definately recomend the Tal Hamsa and Pink House as our stay was absolutely fantastic!

Thank you so much for taking the trouble to write about your wedding. We love having wedding parties and are delighted that we were able to provide the setting for such a special holiday. It is wonderful for us that Zakynthos is one of the few places in Greece that allow weddings in any location.

“Great accommodation in a beautiful and peaceful area near St Nikolas Port in Zakynthos”
Reviewed June 11, 2012 for a stay in June 2012

The villa exceeded my expectations by miles, not only were the pictures on the website a good reflection of the property itself, but I was amazed at just how beautiful the views were from both villas, the pool and balconies. Despite being a 45-minute drive north of Zakynthos airport, it has some of the most gorgeous view-points and small beaches en route to the villa. The last 10-15 minutes of the drive to the villa are quite hilly and bendy so you need a good hire car and remember to bring travel bands or anti-sickness tablets if like me you get motion sickness in car journeys!!! The location is quite isolated so I would suggest you go to one of the larger supermarkets close to the airport to stock up on food, you will only find small shops, restaurants and ice-cream shops nearby. The villa is about 2km from St Nikolas port where there are some lovely restaurants to eat. There are also several restaurants within driving distance which offer plenty of choices for places to eat out. I particulary recommend a place called El Sueno which is an octagon shaped restaurant about 5-10 minutes away!

I stayed with my husband in a new room underneath the Pink House (called the Pink Studio) which had a double bed and separate w/c and shower room. The room was lovely with a beautiful sea view and was quite separate to the rest of the villa. Because it was so new though it did still smell of paint and was missing a few essentials like curtains, bedside lamps and hooks to hang towels in the bathroom. We shared the kitchen in the Pink House with some of our friends and the rest of our group stayed in the main Tal Hamsa Villa. Both villas were very well furnished and both kitchens were equip with ovens, big fridge freezers and all the cutlerly, plates, glasses and kitchen utensils you would ever need during your stay. The villas had plenty of books on the bookshelves including some useful greek phrase books which was helpful if you wanted to learn some basic greek words, not that you need to mind...everyone there spoke perfect english!

The rooms were serviced twice in the week we stayed and the maid made sure we had fresh towels and emptied our rubbish. Pauline, the owner was very helpful and popped over a few times, once to drop off a new cot (as the one in the Pink House was broken and my friends had a 9-month old baby) she also dropped off some tennis rackets so we could use the tennis courts which was nice of her. The pool was lovely and well maintained by a pool guy who I think came a couple of times a week. There were plenty of sunbeds for our group and the pool area gets plenty of sun! There are lots of outdoor sitting areas, one by the big barbeque which was particularly beatuiful in the evenings as it overlooked the pool and all the stunning views of the sea and the nearby towns lit up at night.

So to summarise it was very nice accommodation in both villas, beautiful and peaceful location with spectacular views however note that this is a 45-minute drive from the airport and the drive is very hilly and bendy for the last 15 minutes so not really possible without a good hire car! Would recommend this villa for a peaceful break with family or friends, however wouldn't really say that this is a child friendly place as there are LOTS of steep steps, the paths that aren't very well lit which makes it difficult moving between the rooms/villas at night and the pool is about 6 ft deep so not ideal for babies or very young children. I would definitely come back and stay here again.

Thank you for taking the trouble to write about Tal Hamsa and the Pink House. I am delighted that you might come again and would particularly like you to see that the curtains in the studio are now up and it certainly does not smell of paint. We have now put a small kitchen unit under the cover outside the Pink House, fridge, hob & sink - so it is now totally self contained. But our newest improvement is the BBQ which is now on the deck of The Pink House. We still hope to put a small pool on the lower terrace!
