Auberge La Ferme du Brusquand is tucked away in the middle of nowhere, and will be hard to find without a gps system. Most people in the restaurant were French, so we took that as a good sign, which turned out to the true. The food was fantastic and plentiful, but mainly poultry-based as is custom in the Dordogne. The Foie Gras was delicious and it was great to see that the goose were all happily reared at the farm itself, with loads of room to move.
The service was rapid and friendly, but did still allow us relax and enjoy the evening. We tried the local prune liqueur, which was strong enough to poke someone's eyes out. All in all it was a truly lovely evening with great food.
