Hotel booked as a one nigh stopover on the way north, initial impressions were not great, located on a very busy junction with a lot of traffic, entrance is best from the side road not the main drag.
The place looks odd and slightly down market, but hey it was a one-night stopover.
Looks are deceiving!
Check in was good, and the staff very helpful, even carried the luggage to the room for us, the room was spacious and very comfortable especially the bed, the bathroom was fit for the disabled, and it was nice to see a thermostatic shower tap that could not be nudged to change the settings.
We were provided with a key to operate the car park gates remotely if we came back late in the evening.
We elected to have breakfast, which I attended, and on my arrival, the staff asked how we slept and if I wished I could take a breakfast tray to my partner who was still in the room.
All in all I was very impressed, and think the place probably deserves a another star for the service they provide.More
