I spent four days here after a safari. I can say it is the perfect place for resting yourself. This lodge is placed in a beautiful area just in front of a paradisiac beach. The installations are very good and the food is excellent. But what really makes the difference is the friendly staff you can find there, very helpful at every moment. We highly recommend this place if you are looking for some days of disconnection and relax.

We spent 4 nights here after a safari. It was absolutely brilliant. The setting is fantastic with a beach you can only dream about, good food and great staff. The staff were a real joy - attentive without being over the top, and willing to do anything to help. We really loved it and were only surprised that there were not more people there: perhaps it really is one of those best kept secrets.

I stayed here after a safari, so was looking forward to a place to relax and wasn't disappointed. The setting is gorgeous, up on a slight hill with views stretching out to the Indian Ocean, but very easily accessible to get to the beach down some stairs. The beach is clean, with plenty of comfortable sun beds, shade and a swimming pool for when the tide is out - and is goes out a long way!
The rooms were basic but comfortable, with everything you would need for your stay.
The food was nice, with enough variety to keep you from getting bored.
The real plus with this is the staff, who were incredible helpful, pleasant and couldn't do enough for you. George was one of our waiters whilst my friend and I were there and made a special effort for us!
The only slight downside is that aside from the apartments, there is nothing to do within walking distance, so you are isolated to the one place, but if you are happy with this then you will certainly enjoy your time at Kichanga.

We spent 5 nights at Kichanga Lodge and it was by far the BEST holiday we have had! The staff are such special people, friendly, helpful and willing to do anything to make you feel at home. The food was amazing, lovely menu and cocktails :)
When we arrived, the view left us speechless, it's such a beautiful beach. I so enjoyed the atmosphere, it's pure relaxation. The rooms are lovely and spacious.
We had a wonderful lunch at the Rock Restaurant, which is a short walk from Kichanga, we snorkeled, visited Stone Town and spent as much time on the beach as we could.
I cannot wait for our next trip to Kichanga. Thanks to everyone for a fab time! Love from South Africa!

Room Tip: Room 15 had the BEST view of Kichanga's beach :)

The staff are the cherry on the cake. They were so welcoming and friendly. They helped us organise little excursions, taxi's etc and made our stay so much nicer. Rooms are simple, have charm and are spacious. The view is special as the place has its own beach. You can walk to the Rock restaurant over the beach from the hotel. The meals are excellent, especially if you select the freshly caught fish. Very accommodating, happy people with a social conscious as the place has ties with the local school. I would recommend it over the bigger less personal places you can also find on this side of the island.
