We have been here a good few times.
Although it is just another pub chain, the venue makes for an exciting venue for the kids to get out a bit.

The food quality is pretty good and there is always a special on the go to take advantage of.
The only down side I found, was the bread was not fresh at all. This has been the same on previous visits. On a plus side to the down, the birds loved it.

If any of your guests suffer from Ornithophobia, I would suggest you choose a different venue.
The seagulls can get a bit menacing for some..... In that case have your drinks outside and your food inside.

All in all, it makes for a nice change to the norm.

We popped in last week for a meal with the kids after work and had an excellent meal, very good prompt service very generous portions. Highly recommend the Cookie Dough Pizza desert (the 4 of us shared it as its so big but very very tasty.

The Swiss Cottage its self is a very nice place, beautiful in the summer around the lake in the large garden.

Would and have today recommended the Swiss Cottage. We will definitely be back very soon

This pub is very popular with families and offers a delightful garden with a lake. On summer days it is grat to sit with a pint and watch all the varied water life. What many people do not know is that the Swiss Cottage has a long history and was once a Pleasure Gardens. Food is inexpensive but a limited choice for vegetarians like me.

I have visited this restaurant about half a dozen or so times now, with the family, and find it great in the summer or when the weather is fine as it is set in a very idylic setting by a lake with loads of wildfoul to observe (including a kingfisher). Whilst partaking in one of their 'square burgers' (thats size not attitude) try the chille one - it's great fayre and good value.

One might travel the world - nay, the solar system itself, and beyond - across the great voids of space and the galaxies [but take care to avoid daleks and flying police boxes] in search of the perfect after-dinner pudding that is almost half the price it would be elsewhere...and never find it. But wait? Have you tried the Swiss Cottage? No? Then you are doomed to travel into the darkness of drab, over-priced pudds, unless you try the apple and blackcurrant crumble at the Swiss Cottage. Be nice to the staff and they will squirt on a generous serving of sugary-ish cream [very naughty, but very nice] in place of a generous dollop of custard. Then sit by the water's edge, indoors or outside, and go to tastebud heaven...
