We went to this restaurant as it had good reviews on trip advisor and we love seafood...and it did not disappoint! Don't be put off by the location..once inside although small, the ambiance of this restaurant spoke volumes! The staff were exceptional, very welcoming and couldn't do enough to help.We booked for lunch and the place was packed .The menu suited all , they had a lunchtime special which suited most budgets . We opted for the seafood platter for two ,which would normally have to be booked in advance..but we're lucky enough to have it to order..and it was absolutely delicious..and really filling....and exceptional value for money....If you like seafood ...Definately this is the place for you!! but judging that it was full..it maybe an idea to book. Compliments to all including the chefs!!
If you love seafood this restaurant is definitely for you! Don't be put off by the location..once inside you are welcomed by a warm and friendly atmosphere. We went at lunchtime and the place was full, probably attracted by the attractive lunchtime special. We opted for the seafood platter for two, which was exceptional ,delicious and very good value, and could probably have fed three! We were unaware that this dish would normally have to be booked in advance.
Compliments to all who run this restaurant ..especially the chefs ..excellent and we will recommend this to all our friends and family.

Being a local of Shoreham for 24 years I have seen "Into The Blue" go through a few iterations.

It has to be said that the current owners have the place running the best I have seen. The food is just wonderful and very well priced.

It's so nice to have such a great fish restaurant right on your doorstep.

However if you're visiting Shoreham make sure you get to pop in for some dinner! Make sure you book early as it is always very busy!

We have eaten here on many occasions, lunchtimes, evenings and weekends and the food is always very good. Last night however the food was Excellent. Small changes to presentation made all the difference. I love the calamari which is always consistently hot, crisp and not at all rubbery. Last night was no exception however, this time the calamari was served in a lovely stack on the plate (previously in a separate dish) with a lovely garnish which lifted it to a different status. My mussels were delightful and the accompanying salad I had ordered was really beautiful, so fresh, crisp, adorned by olives - truly memorable meal despite eating at Into the Blue regularly, this meal was exceptional. I noticed the comments about the smell from the kitchen, strangely I have never found this a problem and to see the chefs working preparing the food brings an added dimension to the dining experience. Everyone is always welcoming and friendly. Another point which is important to me is that due to health problems I have several dietary requirements, and Into the Blue have always been exceptional in making the small changes for me which make a huge difference to eating out with pleasure.

Popped in here for a Friday lunch and had a great meal with good service.
The place is a little informal which is exactly what I like.
The calamari was excellent, lightly battered and perfectly cooked - served with teriyaki sauce - yum.
The Italian fish and chip was excellent - and a good twist on a classic.
The seafood risotto was underseasoned which was a shame but there is salt and pepper on the table to correct the situation. The risotto was also a little bland which to me tends to mean the stock used was not strong enough.

The service was very friendly and prompt.

We really had a great lunch.

A little let down with the chairs not being too comfortable and the extractions of cooking from the open kitchen is not great - so you really smell the cooking :-) Not a bad thing but you could smell it on your clothes later in the day.

We had been recommended this fish-specialist place and decided to visit on a Thursday evening (trying their £10 two-course meal that is available Tuesday to Thursday). Normally with deals at that price one rarely expects much more than mere stomach filler. But here, every item was beautifully cooked and subtly flavoured. Indeed, in what is almost impossibly rare for our rather fussy family, all of us found each course to be quite without fault - many years since that happened. Highlights included delicious little ramekins of Sussex smokie whose small salad garnish was properly seasoned rather than just some token dry leaf. The Italian fish and chips were stylishly presented with a tomato based sauce and presented in an elegant stack. This is not a formal restaurant but decor is neat and pleasant (if there's one tiny criticism it's that the open kitchen does lead to a slight smell of chip frying) and as a dining experience it would be hard to beat at twice the price. Service was unusually good - eg when we dropped a fork the young waitress appeared instantly as if by magic with a replacement.

Note that while the footbridge remains under reconstruction, reaching here from Shoreham town centre requires a short drive or a hop on the shuttle bus. Once the bridge is finished it will be two minutes' walk.
