Description: One of the highest rated Restaurants by our customers on TripAdvisor in West Sussex. Consistently ranked at number one in Shoreham by Sea. We are a small family run restaurant just a few hundred yards from both the unspoilt Shoreham Beach and the River Adur. Just a west of Brighton we source the very finest local Seafood. With Steaks, and vegetarian food for the non fish eaters. Popular menu options include our Seafood Platter, Fruit de Mer, local lobster,& Surf and Turf. We recommend our specials board with an exciting fusion of flavours offering the seasonal catch of Monk Fish, Skate, Halibut, just to mention a few. Mid week we offer a special two course mid week menu. Relaxed an informal but with exceptional high end food !!!

Popped in here for a Friday lunch and had a great meal with good service.
The place is a little informal which is exactly what I like.
The calamari was excellent, lightly battered and perfectly cooked - served with teriyaki sauce - yum.
The Italian fish and chip was excellent - and a good twist on a classic.
The seafood risotto was underseasoned which was a shame but there is salt and pepper on the table to correct the situation. The risotto was also a little bland which to me tends to mean the stock used was not strong enough.

The service was very friendly and prompt.

We really had a great lunch.

A little let down with the chairs not being too comfortable and the extractions of cooking from the open kitchen is not great - so you really smell the cooking :-) Not a bad thing but you could smell it on your clothes later in the day.

We had been recommended this fish-specialist place and decided to visit on a Thursday evening (trying their £10 two-course meal that is available Tuesday to Thursday). Normally with deals at that price one rarely expects much more than mere stomach filler. But here, every item was beautifully cooked and subtly flavoured. Indeed, in what is almost impossibly rare for our rather fussy family, all of us found each course to be quite without fault - many years since that happened. Highlights included delicious little ramekins of Sussex smokie whose small salad garnish was properly seasoned rather than just some token dry leaf. The Italian fish and chips were stylishly presented with a tomato based sauce and presented in an elegant stack. This is not a formal restaurant but decor is neat and pleasant (if there's one tiny criticism it's that the open kitchen does lead to a slight smell of chip frying) and as a dining experience it would be hard to beat at twice the price. Service was unusually good - eg when we dropped a fork the young waitress appeared instantly as if by magic with a replacement.

Note that while the footbridge remains under reconstruction, reaching here from Shoreham town centre requires a short drive or a hop on the shuttle bus. Once the bridge is finished it will be two minutes' walk.

Have been here a few times and usually enjoy it, unfortunately this time they didn't seem bothered. We waited 40 minutes after our mains were cleared before the girl asked if we were ok, strange question considering we hadn't been offered a pudding and had had empty glasses for over half an hour. Maybe an oversight but it wasn't exactly busy, if that had been my first visit there I certainly wouldn't be going back.

Difficult to beat! The service was great; fresh bread and butter delivered promptly on arrival, followed by swift wine service. The starters of scallops and tempura prawns were all that one could wish for - plump and juicy in both cases. The filet steak was really melt-in-the-mouth, and cooked exactly as ordered. The plaice was delightful: moist, not wet, and full of flavour - 10/10 to chefs David and Mike for the garnishing!
The restaurant is convenient, parking locally is fairly easy, and the restaurant is alive. I heartily recommend it and will return (a next visit already booked!)

A first visit with friends. It's a bit of an oasis in the middle of some rather rundown looking shops. We were greeted warmly and given friendly ( and accurate) advise on menu choice when requested. The two course set lunch was beautifully served, the food was freshly cooked and excellent. A bottle of chilled tap water was immediately supplied, before other drinks were ordered. Although all 3 of us had decided we were full, we managed to share a homemade Baileys Tirimisu between us. Sometimes you just have to be brave! Great food, fast, efficient and friendly service and two very compact but immaculately clean and well presented toilets. What more can you ask?
