We had a lovely lunch here last weekend. The food was gorgeous, I recommend the Surf and Turf! The service was impeccable, the staff were so attentive and helpful considering we had a one year old with us! Thank you all.

After a wild internet search for somewhere different we left the safety of Brighton and headed down the road to Shoreham. Friday night is jazz night at Chambers, and the music wasnt too loud and added to this places chilled out modern but cosy feel. Its back to scrubbed tables, candles and chalked up menu blackboards. We ordered a pint of prawns which were delicious, fresh and tasty. Starters was scallops in the shell with gorgeous rich mashed potato underneath, yammmmm. For main I had lamb shank, which was perfectly cooked but quite fatty in taste, still nice enough though. Our slightly cooky polish waitress was fun and cheerful. We had a great night here and will return, shame its not closer to Brighton though!

Not for the first time we decided to have lunch at Chambers. The welcome was warm and cheerful and our orders were taken fairly quickly as we had parking restrictions so couldn't enjoy a lazy lunch. We chose one of the special dishes of the day and one of the main fish dishes with a bottle of rose. Our food was hot, tasty and nicely presented on the plate - strangely, this is rare lately in most restaurants - if Chambers can do this, why not others?
There was an offer of one, two or three courses at lunchtime for a very reasonable price but we had access to an offer through the Gourmet Society so we opted for the main menu instead. Chambers cater for vegetarians so it is a great choice to meet with friends and I believe they also offer live music some evenings to make a good night out for all.
They have a loyalty scheme where you get a stamp on a card for each visit, the fully stamped card gives you a two course meal free on your next visit. I would recommend booking - especially at busy times, but its worth dropping in to see if they have a table at lunchtime. We are rarely disappointed and are fast becoming regulars.

My wife and I enjoyed a tasty lunch here of thinly sliced liver cooked just how we like it. The unusual lager from Peru was something different

Bit of a crazy night as a last minute decision to go out meant the first choice bar was rammed. So we were in first as it was early evening and had the restaurant to ourselves for a while. The waitress was relatively new which caused some amusement rather than inconvenience. The chefs seemed to be having a good old barney when we arrived but the lovely lady running the restaurant was calm and assured. She sorted everyone and everything with good humour.
The food was delightful. Duck rolls were unusual with rocket in but were perfect. Full of flavour and very light. The home-made pork scratchings were delightful although the youngest member of our group was a little wary of the odd hair (the pig's rather than a chefs!). Garlic prawns were also good and all portions were made for two to share really.
Fish and chips was crispy and had a good taste, again a large portion. Steaks were cooked perfectly to request and again the chunky chips were a great accompaniment. Finally the vegetarian option was butternut squash and filo which seemed to disappear very quickly so assume all was good with it!
Jazz - live -was playing on a Friday night which was great and not obtrusive. It proved good background noise.
