Decided to end our trip with a lunch at La Marea. Tried to go last year but it was closed on the day we wanted to eat there.
Aldina is a genius in the kitchen, turning out authentic Puglian cuisine which is so full of flavour and perfectly cooked. Having said that, we had fish carpaccio as a starter, fresh and zingy, then spicy pasta with shrimps, artichokes, tomatoes and mint. Wish I'd had more space to try dessert! Really interesting wine list too. We ate on their beautiful shady and planted terrace. There's no sea view here, but that is largely compensated by the delicious food. One of the best meals we had in our two week holiday.
Hope to return next year!
