“Wow what a holiday”
Reviewed September 19, 2013

A family holiday with four adult couples and a small baby and it was fantastic. Excellent accommodation spotlessly clean. The food and service was top class nothing too much trouble and I really appreciate the wine advice without being taken for a ride re price. The waiters and waitresses looked after us like friends . Not cheap but really good value.
The evening meals were lovely in a fantastic setting, the breakfasts were great .
The pool was clean and lunches good with again excellent service. The mini bus to the beach was always on hand . The beach was lovely .I did feel the service did not match the hotel but it was a beach bar!
The advice re other restaurants in the area was good and there is plenty of choice.

A special thank you to the wife of, I think the owner, who was very friendly and helpful .

My only request wold be to have a clear no smoking area around the pool and in the outside eating area.

Our best holiday ever and cannot wait to go back

As we were outside the school holiday period in September the hotel, pool area and beach club were quiet, mosly couples of varying ages which made for a relaxing holiday. The service throughout the hotel is first class and very friendly. The rooms are rustic, probably a little too
'shabby chic' for my taste but extremely well appointed. The masseria looks beautiful at night with the whole complex lit up with lights and candles. A plum tree outside our room was a temptation too far!
Breakfast is a selection I have never seem bettered anywhere, nothing is forgotten. The restaurant is expensive, but an experience worth sampling.
The private Beach Club is fantastic and a welcome cooling breeze from the intense heat of the day.

Room Tip: All external rooms were identical had private patio areas so it depends whether you want the sun in...

We were a party of 16 with ages ranging from 4 up to 70. Everyone from youngest to oldest agreed that 1 week was not enough. We divided our time between the pool and other facilities, the beach club and local sightseeing. All great. We took most but not all evening meals in the many excellent restaurants in Savelletri - partly for the experience and partly to save on the hotel prices. Fantastic service and lovely rustic (but luxurious) accommodation. Highly recommended.

This is a smallish Masseria boutique like Hotel with a rustical design and all necessary facilities. My wife and I stayed here for a week and used it as a base to explore Puglia. We had mixed feelings and I think that the review would very much depend on if you have kids or not.

On the positive I can say, that the design is interesting and appealed to us, the food on all occasions was fantastic (but overpriced at lunch), and we especially enjoyed getting letting cookies with our coffee. In addition, all aspects of the service were outstanding, including the concierges who helped us, the manager who listened to our complaint and the super friendly bar and restaurant staff!
Our problem, was that we came for a relaxing romantic trip and due to 2 main factors we were totally unable to relax at the hotel. Firstly, we were practically the only couple without a minimum of 3 kids staying at the hotel (to our surprise) and so breakfast time and pool time we were surrounded by screaming kids who had to be told to be quiet by the hotel staff several times.
Secondly, the room acoustics were terrible, and through the echoing of the hollow thick walls we could here every squeak from the bathroom next us - suffice to say that they were early birds. The hotel then put us in a nice suite in the main building which was much more quiet.

I can therefore say, that the service and food is fantastic, but unless you are coming here armed with your own army of kids you will find it very difficult to truly relax!

I have just stayed here for five days and must say it was wonderful and real different experience the setting is wonderful and the staff are very helpful.

The restaurant was amazing very romantic at night sitting under the stars food was delicious with good service - wine a little expensive.

You must visit the spa it is like something from a James Bond film set in the caves under ground.
Beach club is also good restaurant on the beach fab.

This is an outstanding facility...great large rooms, fine food, especially the unbelieveable
breakfast with fresh baked goods, buratta cheese, procuitto, etc. as well as eggs and fresh breads...The atmosphere is charming and very special...Provide transportation to the beach, but have a fine pool on site...Your wish is their command...

We stayed here for a few nights at the end of our holiday. First off the service is second to none, absolutely faultless, some of the best I ever encountered!

I asked for a quiet room and they moved us into a lovely quiet courtyard room.

Breakfast was sumptuous, if you wanted it, it was there. Dinner was amazing, truly amazing even though both of us were getting over food poisoning from Lecce! Dinner was not cheap though, in fact any food a drink was very expensive.

The beach resort which they can ferry you to (we drove, plenty of parking) was lovely but massively overcrowded (it is an Italian beach in July after all), service again was great.

For me the only downside was it was a bit too family friendly, loads of screaming kids - why can’t parents keep them quiet ;-) , but I knew there might be a few around, and it was actually the parents shouting at them, that were the bigger problem....

Lastly we both had a lovely deep tissue massage in the spa – and it was lovely! Would I go again, certainly as long as it was out of school holiday time. It was the most expensive stay of our holiday, but I think on balance worth it.
