We spent two nights here on our C2C walk. After arrivng pretty exhausted following a long day's walk, we received a warm welcome from Jo and her cream tea went down very well! Jo also offered for us to break up the next section of our walk over two days by picking us up half way and dropping us off the next day, which meant we had more time to enjoy the walk and was service above and beyond. The freshly baked bread and homemade jams at breakfast were also v popular. A great place to stay, highly recommended.

Josephine was a lovely host offering helpful information. Double ensuite was located outside the house in an annexe. Well equipped, spacious and clean. Generous breakfast. I would book again.

Upon arrival the owner took us into the conservatory and served us tea and scones with jam & clotted cream :)
The accommodation is 2 rooms built onto the back of the house, which are clean and modern and comfortable. The garden is pretty and was full of tulips.

Breakfast was very good, I had porridge for a change which was 'just the right temperature!', poached egg on muffin and homemade jam & bread.
The packed lunch was very good indeed, all for a very good price.

Room Tip: The double room is larger than the twin room.

Stayed two nights here for our C2C. Jo was excellent host and very knowledgeable and efficient she has walked the C2C herself and knows what walkers need. On arrival cream tea and large pot of tea provided almost instantly with all information for next days walk. The rooms are at rear of house in lovely garden, so you have own front door. Our party of three had room with twin beds (could me made as double) and large sofa bed that Jo made up when we were out in evening, so we could use as sofa rest of time. Good quality bedding and everything clean and fresh and footspa provided in room. Breakfast served in conservatory was excellent with fresh baked bread and homemade jams. We had decided that the 21 miles to Blakey Ridge was too much for us in one day so broke the walk at Clay Bank Top were Jo was waiting for us in her car and returned us the next morning. Excellent service for walkers and Jo will do washing and provide packed lunch for very reasonable price.
We arrived early at Ingleby Arncliffe as had only walked from Danby Wiske, so visited Mount Grace Priory nearby which was an interesting afternoon diversion and free with National Trust or English Heritage card.
