I was given a room in the main hotel next to the church which seems to be the best of the three locations which you can be assigned when staying with the Bastide family. On the Sunday in late July of our visit the bar and restaurant were bursting with locals and tourists alike.
The decor of the rooms has seen better times, the bed felt slightly worn and the owner's tone during check-in was pretty curt. Still, overall the place offered a great atmospheric mix of la France profonde, combined with great food for dinner and a breakfast that included cheese and sausage in addition to the standard fare of croissant with jam. Finally, if you get a room that faces the church, the view past the spire across the rooftops of Nasbinals is worth the stay in itself.More
