Called in last Sunday on the off chance as we were visiting Norfolk for the weekend. Pub was full, we were accommodated within 20 minutes but would advise booking. Lovely Sunday lunch, lots of nicely cooked vegetables, roast potatoes, huge Yorkshire pudding, delicious roast beef and lots of tasty gravy. You won't go away feeling hungry! Very friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend to anyone.

Great place to eat, seems very popular with locals as it was really busy, so probably best to ring and reserve a table especially peak season, but despite going lunchtime on a Sunday we had a warm welcome & were accommodated very quickly, the lunches were lovely, melt in the mouth meat and giant homemade Yorkshire puds & nothing was too much trouble, we certainly came away with full tummies! Definitely going back that's for sure!

We visited the Felgate Inn on a Sunday lunch time, unfortunately it was not the kind of welcome new customers would expect! Normally a smile and greeting, but here NO.

There were three ladies of differing ages serving or should I say standing behind the bar, who seemed more interested chatting to some guys at the end of the bar to take much interest in wanting to welcome new customers.

Once served, we decided as it was a sunny day to use what is very loosely described as a beer garden. Wedged between a row of trees and two tatty mobile homes which appeared to have seen better days a good few years ago are some dirty wooden tables, with plastic table clothes that might have even been a few years older than those mobile homes. Not sure when they had last been cleaned, but they did have interesting patterns of bird poo on them.

An interesting visit and one we won’t repeat in a hurry!

my mother and i visited this pub last week whilst holidaying on a boat on the norfolk broads. We stumbled upon it by accident as we were moored opposite a boat repairer yard and they had a sign outside for the pub.Its about a ten minute walk from the bridge so we went and had a drink at lunchtime to suss it out,the barman was very polite and friendly and after looking at the menu decided to eat in the evening. He told us to book which turned out to be good advice as alot of people turned up in the evening and were told they were full.We both had rump steak which was delicious and cooked right and came on a huge plate with all the trimmings(homemade onion rings mushrooms chips peas and salad) our waitress was a cute little blonde girl and the service and welcome was excellent will definately go there again but you must book!

My family ate at the restaurant this week. The pub is a ten minute walk from Potter Heigham bridge and far better than anything on offer by the bridge. The service was great and we were all satisfied with our food. The portion sizes were very large- even for Norfolk, and a starter/dessert is enough for 2.

What a friendly pub/restaurant, and the Sunday lunch was amazing, roast beef (husbands choice) Roast pork for me, both cooked to perfection, 6 vegetables, all cooked perfectly, Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes delicious, huge serving and we couldn't quite manage to clear our plates, certainly no room for pudding but we noticed some people did indulge. The staff were very friendly and helpful, well done !

Quite possibly the best hospitality we have ever received in a pub. The landlady, Annette, was quite possibly the nicest landlady we have ever encountered. She looked after our two boys as if they were her own. You will not go wrong spending your money here, the beer is good and the food is even better. I hope they don't read this but the portion sizes are huge and worth every penny!! Well worth the 10min walk from the boat yard. Go and prove me wrong!!!!!!
