A good 10 minute walk from the car park, a good idea is to have a trolley to carry all your luggage. Alternatively hire a boat as we did and motor down the river to your garden. The cottage is sign posted at the waters edge. A small but very adequate kitchen and dining room plus a very comfortable double bedroom with French doors out to the garden. A TV mounted on the wall with freeview and wi fi, all the comforts of home. Fishing from the garden not bad but better fishing is had further along the river by boat. Mainly bream and roach. Lathams shop is near the car park, you can buy anything there. Highly recommended, many thanks to all at Riverside Rentals.
This accommodation is in a lovely location on the river side. It is a bit of a walk from the car park, but that is the price you pay for being on the river. There is a lovely garden, with patio furniture, where you can watch boats and wildlife go by, if the weather is kind. Inside it is comfortable, with three bedrooms. It does smell a bit damp, but like all the other riverside dwellings it is not a brick building and has to brave the elements, so after bit of airing and a couple of scented candles the place felt homely. The beds were all fresh, with white cotton linen and the Kitchen was well equipt too. In fact on a couple of days we came back early, to enjoy the tranquility that this accommodation offers. We really enjoyed our stay, and will recommend it to others. One bit of advice would be to carefully plan trips back and forth to the car so that you don't have to carry loads of heavy bags and cases, and don't worry if you need groceries, Lathams seems to sell everything you might need and there is a fish and chip shop by the bridge too.

First stay on the Thurne, usuially on the Bure, must say this was the best October break EVER! Lots of places locally to visit (Thrigby Wildlife park was supuerb) Breakfast as Ludham Bridge is good. Fishing was excellent, bit worried before arrival due to th sale incursion a couple of weeks ago but the fish had returned in good numbers. Best catch on feeder/maggot/caster was 30lb net of skimmers/roach/perch . Even caught my first Ruffe EVER! Cosy cottage, good local food - PERFECT!!!
