Location was perfect for loads of beautiful walks around the Broads and the numerous beaches. The house was perfect for our group of friends to enjoy the sunny weekend and relax. The property is very peaceful and full of character. We will definitely be visiting again!
We spent a week in Cottage 1. It's right next door to cottage 2 but we didn't really see or hear the 'neighbours' whilst we were there. The little garden out the back is quite secluded and we weren't all trying to use the table tennis table in the shared games room at the same time! The accommodation is comfortable and the small kitchen area had everything we needed. The shared bathroom has a good shower and a bath and between the three of us we had enough hot water which comes on in the morning and evenings. There was no wifi, which was a bit of a jolt to my teenage son, but we took a couple of mobile dongles to make it through the week. Word of warning - 02 reception is flaky, but mobile broadband with 3 and EE were both fine.
The cottage is well located for exploring North Norfolk, being only a short car ride from Cromer and an even shorter one from Great Yarmouth. The National Trust properties in the area are particularity good and there are plenty of other less historical attractions. Stock car racing on Thursday evening for example.
All in all, a very good week. If you want peace and quiet and a place from which to explore this part of East Anglia, this is a good choice.
Jenny was very helpful from the outset, but unobtrusive. We would highly recommend this holiday barn cottage, small but well equipped. Availability of outside seats a plus.
We stayed here just after Christmas and over New Year and would highly recommend it. There is an enclosed garden at the back perfect for letting small children run around and a play area with swings and a slide at the front.
The bath was plenty big enough, the shower was hot, beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels. We found maps of the local area and information including recommended places to go including places to eat.
The location is good assuming you have a car as there are a number of places in easy reach e.g. Great Yarmouth. There was also access to a games room which included a pool table and table tennis table.
The place felt homely, warm and welcoming....we even had our own Christmas tree!
Stayed here for 3 nights during half-term holidays. Really fabulous converted barn on a working arable farm in a nice quiet position. Very well furnished, warm and well maintained with all the comforts of home. Easy booking process and extremely helpful management. Just couldn't fault it, will be back.
The owners were attentive but not intrusive. The property clean, comfortable and well equipt for our three night stay. Surrounding converted barn were lovely gardens and interesting places, an artists paradise. Close-by were good pubs(The Nelson at Hornsey) and beaches (Winterton).
