“Paradise of Madura "Lombang Beach"”
Review of Lombang Beach

Lombang Beach
Reviewed March 3, 2017

Lombang beach is a potential tourism destination. It characteristic showed a white sand and longest beach-line that offered the beautifulness and naturally ordered Casuarina equisetifolia Landscape or it is known as "Cemara Udang" (She Oak). Sometime by many collectors it has been crafted to be a Bonsai (art of growing ornamental that originated from Japan). It is not only has the art value but also it has economically value. Locus of Lombang is far enough from center of summoned or we can access it about one hour. the lack infrastructures could be addressed to lombang area and local government should pay attention to this problem. We hope!

Up side you may well have the beach almost to yourself except for the guys selling horse rides. Down side is that the stalls at the back of the beach have a very limited range of food available, if you don’t like Rujak or Soto Madura you may get hungry.
Really nice sand, with a gentle slope, felt that there was quite a current along the beach to the west and a bit of an undertow so caution advised.

For a foreign traveler this is a rather remote part of Indonesia. There are minimal tourist accommodations in the immediate area, so not many foreigners travel here. We came here with a tour operator Remote Destinations that set up a camp right on the beach. We flew in to Surabaya and took a bus to Lombang Beach. Given the fact that the trip was on a two lane road and you are driving through every little town and village it took over 5 hours to get here. But it was well worth the trip.

The Lombang Beach area is predominantly used by the local population. There are some local food vendors, but we didn’t try them out because we had meals served at our camp. The beaches are white sand. There is your normal debris that washes up on the shores, so I would recommend beach shoes to be safe.

As you drive toward the beach area you will encounter a little grocery store adjacent to a mosque. We learned that the store supports the local orphanage. Once we learned about the stores mission…we stopped to buy something every chance we had.

A treat on this trip was we were able to sit right on the beach and watch the total lunar eclipse…spectacular!

My family and I came here at Lebaran season. Hence, on holiday this place was very crowded with local visitors. Surrounding the beach is growth many pine trees, so some people don't worry about hot on sun shine for come to the beach on midday.
To get the beach from Sumenep downtown travelers need time around one to one and half an hour by car.
Travelers can enjoy blue sea view with waves goes down and up, white sand at the beach, and many horse riding hawkers offer to travelers who wants to try riding a horse.
I think it is a popular attraction and interested in Sumenep.
