The staff was very friendly and always made us feel very welcome.
George spent a lot of time to recommend us the most interesting places to visit (he is a great guy).
Hotel is located very close to three, not very crowded beaches. There are many markets and restaurants around. Rooms were clean and well-equipped.
So, there is nothing to complain about.
We were absolutely satisfied with our stay and I spent wonderful birthday there :).
We can highly recommend you Niriss Hotel.

Niriis hotel although it is simple and budget one is absolutely worth Your attention. It is pretty close to nice, quiet and not crowded beach (even in July) and near big supermarkets (INKA, LIDL).Two minutes far from the bus stop ging to the city centre of Chania ( busses even at night) The hotel is clean and rooms are equipped with kitchen utensils, You can borrow books in different languages and get free maps and brochures there. You can also borrow for free a mate and a sunumbrella there. But what makes that place rally unique is the owner George, his brother, Tania and other workers always ready to help, explain and inform. Ecofriendly Professionals.I enjoyed my time and next year I am planning to come back.

We had a fantastic stay at the Niriis hotel. George and his brother Peter were very helpfull and gave us a lot of good advice. We got a good map of Chania from them, where they had wrote down a lot of tips for food and stuff like that. The room was great, especially in proportion to the price we paid. Everything we needed was there. The only small disadvantage we experienced was the fact that the kitchen only has got two low flames and one of them is a bit small. But for making simple meals, it is good enough. Going out for diner is not expensive (around 10 euros per person), so that's a good alternative. The beaches were very close to the hotel, and they were nice and beautiful! Not too many people, and not many tourists. The beaches were small, that was wat we liked about it because that made it more intimate. Niriis doesn't have a swimming pool, but there are swimming pools nearby which you can use if you buy a drink there. The bus system was also perfect for us, because whe didn't have a car. The bus stop was nearby and the bus to Chania came over every 15/20 minutes. The city of Chania is very beautiful and vivid. Do not go for diner at the harbor, it is very touristic. An exception is Amphora, the people there were very friendly and the food was awesome. Our tip is to go for diner in the streets behind the harbor, where the waiter are more friendly and the food is better. If you to see something else, we recommend you to go to Elafonisi. You can take the bus from Chania central busstation that will get you there in about 100 minutes. The beach

Room Tip: When you want to cook, take a dish towel with you, and also recommended is to take a small towel to...

Niriis hotel was more than just a hostel but came with great hospitality from George and titi kal. They provided you with all the local recommendations and things to fill your days in the best, cheapest and most authentic way. I was lucky enough to go to a feast day south west Crete with other travellers through the hostel based on George's amazing recommendation. This is truley more than just a regular hostel and I couldn't recommend it enough. Chania has become a new favourite place in the world for me.

The location is great, the beach is just across (actually there is a choice of 4-5 small ones with each having a kiosk on the edges selling coffees, drinks and sandwiches) the amenities near, the bus stop just next to take you to Chania (10') or other beaches with bars and clubbing options as this area is quiet, night buses' stop is also near. A choice of swimming pools of next door establishments are available for use with just a purchase of a drink from their bars. An acre of trees like a beach forest boosts the oxygen of the area. Owner provides lots of info for day trips and choices in Chania and umbrellas for the beach. A value for maney. A place to return indeed. (A/c is charged extra according to consumption but rooms are aired enough)
