Dimitris & Sakis is THE restaurant, just a few km from Chania, Crete. We have visited Dimitris & Sakis through a number of years - both as a couple but also with several friends. The food is excellent, and you might be lucky to taste different kinds of special courses which are not on the menu card. Try it yourself - I'm sure, you'll like it.

especially the Greek Salad and the steak too, remember to make sure the steak is well done since some people cant handle the bacteriaflora in the Greek meat.

Got some the best meat and tomatoes in my life here

I'm calling everyone who panned this restaurant either picky or petty. If this place is just "average",then why have no less than 3 other businesses (and whose business rely on being truthful with guests) recommend this place when asked about a reasonably priced place to go for greek food.

Folks, this place is one of the nicest we've eaten in on our journey through Europe. The owners greet you at the door and guide you to a table. They come back through the night to talk and joke. Dining options are numerous with an emphasis on Greek, of course, and there's even a children's menu with small, low priced options. We went there twice and had the amazing dinner for two which includes an entire bottle of wine and 7 courses of appetizers/small main dishes; greek salad, tzatziki and bread, meats, roast zucchini and the most amazing stuffed mushrooms! All this for 28 euros in total. You can easily feed a family of 4 here with drinks and dessert for 60 euros, and that's splurging on expensive dishes. Plus, this is all in a nice garden setting with overhanging trees and an extensive playground for the kids.

Some have said the service is slow, and it is certainly not lightning fast I'll admit. However, the culture here is that suppers are meant to be taken slowly, with lots of conversation afterwards while you sip your dregs of wine. Many of us are used to rushed suppers, so we can rush out and...do what? Who has it right? As far as the two owners go, they circulate both waiting tables and talking with their guests. They are seriously charismatic and top notch gentlemen.

The sum of it is this; I've spoken to many people in two hotels and most come here at least 2-3 times on a week-long vacation. Some ONLY go here. I'm wondering why they aren't on Tripadvisor sticking up for the place but regardless I say this; Go. I highly doubt you'll be disappointed.

If you agree with my review, or I ended up helping you, give me a vote! Happy travels!
