We have just returned from 10 days at the Sani Beach Hotel with our two kids - aged 5 and 3. We couldn't get near a sun lounger. There are just not enough to go round when the hotel is full and 'Derek and Sue' are always out there at the crack of dawn pretending to read their books with half shut eyes at 7am anyway. Some days we might get lucky, others we'd create a kind of camp under some trees nearby. Drinks and food round the pool are hideously expensive too. We went half board and still spent a small fortune.
And yet, despite this, as a place to go with the kids, this is undoubtedly one of the best resorts we have ever been to. You pay for what you get and the Sani is run through with real quality. The rooms (we had a one bed suite with a stunning view over Bousoulas beach) are smart with generous double-sized balconies and satisfyingly ferocious air-con which we needed as it was pushing 40 degrees outside.
The food was generally excellent, even in the buffet. Eating out round the marina is a nice touch although you do end up paying quite a bit on top of the 'allowance' that you are given as part of the half board.
The kid's club was fantastic. Our kids have never really taken to them before but they loved Melissa's and went every day for a couple of hours in the afternoon which gave us a chance to properly relax.
Our son loved the football academy too. Great coaches, actually teaching them skills rather than just a kick-about.
No the beach isn't Caribbean white or as wide as you might hope for but 'middle class problems' aside, it is gently shelving - again, ideal for the kids and the sea was warm and clear.
We hired bikes, the kids had scooters and we went for rides all around the resort each day.
It was great.
Undoubtedly what makes this resort so special though is the service. It was unfailingly excellent everywhere we went and made our holiday.
If you have kids and can afford to go, the Sani really is a good option. Just make sure you get up early....

Room Tip: B block facing Boulsoulas beach - quieter, stunning views over the sea.

We have just returned from an awesome two weeks at Sani Beach Hotel. It was our first visit and we went with our 8 and 4 year old daughters. We are already looking at re booking for next year - it was that good. We stayed in a sea view junior suite over looking Bousoulas beach and booked half board. We used the dine around option; Poseidon was excellent also but we ended up breakfasting at Ammos every morning for second week as was less busy and views were amazing. In the evening we dined at Macaroni, Tomata, Ouzerie and Grill by the Pool - all were very good but Tomata was outstanding (albeit the most expensive).
We spent most days on the main beach next to Ammos with quick access to pool. Viorella and Eleni were simply amazing at the baby watch and helped entertain the girls at anytime - they are a credit to the resort and hotel. The girls also went to Melissa Mini Club most days in the morning and had a ball - Ale, Katie, Aron and Ellie were great.
We would thoroughly recommend the hotel to families with young children. The levels of service are outstanding and we were actively asked for feedback on improvements we would like to see which we happily provided.

We have just returned from a 10 day holiday at the Sani beach hotel. We have a 10year and 14year daughter and it probably was the most fantastic holiday ever.

We booked a 1 bed family suite in B block and it was perfect. I was concerned prior to arrival as my daughters are very tall and didn't want them in an uncomfortable short bed - I needn't have worried all the beds were amazing. The room was spotless and the attention to detail was second to none. I loved the complimentary bottles of water left each day in the room - lovely touch.
We had breakfast every day at the Grill by the Pool - amazing service from Sevasti and Ermira - they are fabulous. They knew what we liked so well that they brought my husband coffee even before he ordered it.

What can I say about Bousoulas Beach Bar. Nikos, Eleni and Denis absolutely made our holiday. They deserve a massive thank you from us. Nikos was amazing he is worth his weight in gold to Sani Beach Resort, we relaxed instantly at the beach and had an amazing time. Denis became our friend and brought us tea and gorgeous biscuits to our loungers every day.

We met some great new friends and am meeting up with them next week.
I cannot say enough about what an amazing time we had at Sani Beach Hotel - except to say we have already booked for next year and we cant wait and so have our lovely new friends.

Room Tip: B Block is gorgeous and view over the pool is fab.

Just returned yesterday from our first visit following a recommendation from friends. Outstanding holiday and can only echo the previous comments. My 7 year old loved the kids club who were very attentive to all the kids at all times and my only observation was that the teen club for my 13 year old son was very hit and miss with the ages of children who attended. They seemed to be nearer 11 and 12 and the 13,14,15 kids tended not to go so a little improvement there may be worth looking at. However, this did not take anything away from the holiday which was great.
Be aware of dreams camp site situated between Sani beach hotel and Sani beach club which seemed a little strange and they did try to use the hotel facilities, but all staff were on guard and moved them on to their own beach.
Many thanks to Monika at VIP services for organising a great boat trip and look forward to seeing all the team next year

Room Tip: Interconnecting rooms a good compromise on the suite price if you have older children

We stayed here the 2/3rd week of July. We had booked a 1 bedroomed family suite at the Sani Beach Hotel - with a request for it to overlook Bousolas Beach ( as recommended by friends).

The day before arrival we were advised that they had some booking mix us and we would need to spend our first 3 nights in a 2 bedroomed suite before moving to our originally booked room- and they provided us a resort credit as compentsation.

This was no big deal and the credit more than compensated us for the minor inconvenience and the luxury of staying in a HUGE suite.

The resort is kept beautifully - great although expansive grounds. Pool at Hotel was Very Busy so we tended to go to Bousoulas beach where the cool beach bar was - the beach and sea were fantastic and great, friendly service at Beach bar.

Cocktails and dinner at Ammos were great, breakfast at Grill by the pool far better than either Poseidon or Veranda ( over 12's only - although our 10 yr old was allowed in) White party on Wednesdays at Bosoulas beach bar fantastic fun, Dinner at Tomata probably the best we tried ( although didn't go to Sea You.

!0 yr old played tennis every morning and did 2 hrs of football through worldwide kids company every evening which was exceptionally well-run.

An all round great holiday and already planning our return.

Room Tip: B block generally has the suites and better views of either pool or the Bousoulas beach so would def...

As every year, the last 15 years , my wife and me, we visited Sani Resort for our holidays with some friends, who do the same . We stayed there from the 28th of June until the 8th of July. Really, we feel so happy and relaxed there, as it is such a magnificent and high standard resort. Every year we see with pleasant surprise new improvements inside the buildings, the beaches and the gardens as well. The resort has a beautiful marina, full of nice yachts and many restaurants offering tasty food ( traditional Greek, Japanese etc) in reasonable prices. All these gives you the impression that you are in a small pretty island. You have many things to do there, to swim in the blue water of the sea, to walk in the beautiful gardens, to go to a small open air theater, to open air cinema…. The service of the staff everywhere is amazing, from the reception desk, to the restaurants (e.x Theodoros in Ammos, Giannis in the Grill by the Pool etc), the swimming pools and beaches, which are so neat and clean every day.
We appreciated very much all the above unique services of the staff, who under the supervision and guidance of the excellent Manager mr. G. Adam and the Assistant Manager mr. G. Gavrilos , accommodated us and our friends, with great eagerness and kindness, making our stay to Sani Resort unforgettable. We promise that, and the next summer, we will be there.
