We had trouble renting a car at first and ended up feeling a bit stranded in the village of Myloi. There isn't much to do there, and since we were traveling with our four-year-old son, we couldn't even walk to the sea or restaurants. (By the way, if you plan on renting a car in Greece, be sure that you have an international driver's license first.)
Doretta helped us find a rental car quickly, and our stay improved after that. We found ourselves driving into Nafplio daily once we had our car. If I had realized that there was so little to do in Myloi, we would've booked a room in Nafplio and avoided renting a car altogether. It's very easy to take a bus from Athens to Nafplio and back, and you can also get a bus to and from the airport for much cheaper than a taxi. Just ask people on your journey, and someone who knows where to go will help you.
This b&b is a good place to stay if you have a specific reason to stay in Myloi or if you just want to experience a rural Greek village. We did see a different side of Greece than we would've had we stayed in posh Nafplio or busting Athens. However, if your primary goals are to walk through beautiful vistas, shop, and dine at cafes and restaurants, staying in Nafplio would be much more convenient.
All of that said, Doretta was very accommodating and friendly, and her hospitality is worth the drive. Every morning she brought us delicious pancakes that my son loved. Also, there was unlimited firewood for us to burn in the room's fireplace (we came in late December).
The room is a good size with a queen bed and daybed (perfect for a family of 3), and there was a playground in back. There is a coffee pot (with a little coffee and sugar provided) and enough accommodations to cook your own meals.
If you will have a car and want that Greek personal touch, The Myloi Inn is perfect for you.
