I was going to write a rambling review outlining all of the issues that marred our experience of this Center Parcs, but, lets face it, who's going to read that. Suffice as to say, when measured against our previous excellent experience of Center Parcs (Longleat, UK) this Center Parcs was very disappointing. It is undoubtedly very beautiful and tranquil and constructed to a high standard. However, it is so poorly run that the beauty quickly fades into the background. I'm not sure if it's a cultural thing, but the poor attitude and lack of competence of the staff was uniform throughout, as was the poor quality of the food (in France!). The provision of information about services and activities was completely lacking and the range of activities was limited (again compared to our experience in the UK). The lake was even out of bounds due to algae. It's a small thing, but can you believe there isn't one washing machine on the campus and no laundry service? - for 1000 chalets! Oh and no washing up liquid in the kitchen....you have to buy a 1 litre bottle in the overpriced shop - this in what was described as a VIP chalet...come on guys. We'll be back to Center Parcs, but sadly not in France.

This was our first experience with Center Parcs and it was FABULOUS! The park was amazing and offered so many different recreational activities for families. We especially loved the pool area and spent many hours swimming. The facilities are well kept and clean! I don't know what more people expected from this park because I couldn't believe how satisfying the stay was!

Our child did the pony ride and she loved it! The indoor play facility was fun and large for children of all ages. The pool area was amazing and offered so much fun for children of all ages! The walking trails were nice and well kept.

Our villa was very relaxing and had everything we needed (including a vacuum). We brought our own food and the kitchen area was perfect!

There is a grocery store in the park that offered everything you may need for your stay. We didn't notice a price difference either. They have the best FRESH bakery at the entrance that is worth a stop too! There is also a gift store that offers affordable merchandise as well. We spent a lot of money there too on swimming accessories and toys! HA!

The burger place by the pool was very yummy and not expensive at all! We ate there several times. We also ate at the pizza place and had drinks from the bar and it was fine. There is also a bowling alley with pool tables that offers food as well but we didn't go there.

We didn't walk the '30' minutes to the pool because it was chilly when we went. We just drove back and forth whenever we wanted to and this worked out perfect for our family.

The only negative we experienced with this trip was the mini-golf. We pre-paid for this at the main facility but when we got there nobody could be found. Also, the course didn't look that enjoyable anyways. The front desk gave us a refund right away and we were happy!

I loved this center parc and we're definitely going back soon! I can't express how great this facility was. I didn't want to leave!

We travelled the 8 hours drive from Jersey via Saint Malo and have to say it was well worth it.
We had a VIP villa which was lovely and the countryside and park areas were beautiful. Plenty of woodland, trees, animals, wildlife, rivers, really peaceful.
The activities were good, plenty to do as always.
Food fine, usual CP fare in the restaurants
Supermarket very well catered for and sold most things.
Bakery with freshly cooked croissants, baguettes and "chocolate filled fresh donuts" was excellent and very reasonable.
The only real thing that let the Park down was the distinct lack of staff.
Not anybody to help you round the highwire. Nobody to meet us at Segway. The man showed up at Paintball 45 minutes late so completely missed the group half hour before us.
The guy that did the Archery also ended up doing bikes and then canoes.
Just felt like they needed more staff to help.
A real shame as we had driven the extra 4 hours (Past Paris CP) and i'd say it was worth it, just would have been worth it a tiny bit more had we felt slightly more looked after.
But a great Park and well worth the visit.

Room Tip: Pick a villa in the top right of the park map, less hilly and closer to Aqua Mundo

Although we enjoyed our stay at the park there were a few issues with the cottage (2 bed VIP) that didnt really get sorted during our time there.

One thing I did find a bit of a pain (having several issues with the cottage) is the fact there is no phone to use. Whilst I appreciate you are there to be on holiday and get away from it all when you consider that the "reception" can be anything up to a 30 min walk (each way) it would be nice to have some way to get in touch with them. The only other option you have is to call a service number on your own mobile, which can be expensive to use if you are calling "abroad".

The main issue we had was the internet didnt work at all in our cottage and took several trips to reception/calls to get people to come and check. Despite after calling having to still walk to reception to activate it only to find it still not working was very frustrating. A number of "technicians" came during the stay, one advised that if you are on the "end of a line" for the internet you dont really get a signal. We didnt want to move cottage as we had already unpacked so reception did offer us a key for another cottage so we could use the internet there. Not ideal and when we did go we found it wasnt working there either so just gave up.

There were a few minor things with the cottage, broken utensils etc which were swapped by reception with no issue. We only went to try the sauna in the cottage on the last night and guess what that wasnt working either. It did seem to take a long time to get "action" for the internet and considering we were probably in a more quieter time of year I wouldnt like to see what it was like at peak.

The cottage itself was spacious, comfortable and had pretty much everything you could need in the kitchen.

It is worth requesting your cottage number as the area is very large and is hilly in parts so you could end up quite out of the way.

Staff could do a little better, not always very helpful or friendly in the experiences we had.

Overall I would consider another trip, although I would go with the understanding that you dont get internet in your cottage and if something is broke it might only get fixed on your last day.

I live in Germany and took my visiting son, daughter in law and my four year old grandson here for a mid week break (four days). Honestly I can't say how great it was. We played, the pool, the out door pool, the slides the gigantic water play contraption in the aqua mundo, the wave pool, all of it was awesome. The petting zoo was great, we held baby goats, fed sugar cubes to the ponies and played on the big playground. The cabin was ultra clean, modern with a wonderful kitchen and patio. We did rent a golf cart (155 euros for 4 days) and it was worth every penny. No issues about going here or there, just get it and drive to it. The park is huge, really pretty and there is so much to do. We did the par course (not for the faint of heart) rode horses, swam, played and just had an amazing time. it is a French park, the people mostly speak French or German but I found everyone helpful and willing to communicate. The staff was friendly but not overbearing. It felt like a free vacation, no one annoyed us, we just had a great time. everyday there was something new to do, never a dull moment. I will for sure come back. the only negative, was the buffet dinner. Over priced and not good. The rest?Really, really super. Thanks Center Parcs for a terrific and unforgettable little vacation.

Room Tip: we had room 407 at the end, private, very nice!
