Just had best rump steak since moving to these parts 12 years ago! A really tasty steak cooked to perfection.......and I'm fussy about my steak. Will certainly be ordering this again.
Awoke this morning well rested after spending the night in one of their beautiful b&b rooms. Very comfortable bed, super clean room and lovely atmosphere. Will be recommending this place to friends and family. Thank you Richard and Clare.

Stumbled upon the village, went into this pub where everyone was so friendly and lovely! Such a lovely village filled with delightful people, dogs roaming around, didn’t eat there but will next time. And to top it all the most amazing live music.
Will most definitely be back

Can’t fault this hotel; very welcoming hosts who showed us to our room. Extensive evening menu and good choices at breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts or their staff. Lovely comfortable room under the eaves with spacious modern shower room and toilet. Was very surprised when we were told they had only been trading for 7 months; they really have taken to the business well, We wish them all the luck for the future.

My wife and I stumbled across The George Inn early in the evening and was just what we searching for, a traditional thatched inn that offered rooms. We met Richard the landlord who showed us to our room in the barn just across the rear courtyard. We ate dinner in the pub ..... proper home cooked food delicious!! After a few pints of local cider great selection on offer by the way a peaceful nights sleep was had, wow how quiet and idyllic it is here. Breakfast was really tasty and set us up for the day. Thank you for being such wonderful hosts we can’t recommend The George Inn enough

We stayed for a few days in a farm in the Chardstock area and during this time had Sunday Roast at the local pub. Nice interiors, we enjoyed the drinks and the food and the owners were fantastic to chat with. The pub is located inside a historic building and outside seating is available in front of the pub and also in a garden at the interior.
