The Chalet d' Eglantine is the restaurant of the Hotel Florimont just outside Faverges. We did not stay at this hotel as we were staying in a gite in nearby St Ferreol but ate at this restaurant twice. This is fine dining at what we considered a knock down price for what is after all one of the most expensive areas of france. (4 courses 35.00E- 3 courses 28 E) As a retired Chef I considered this meal the best since I went to Raymond Blanc's Le Manoir, imaginative ,beautifully presented and cooked to perfection.Attentive service without being intrusive My only critisism was the menu was a little limited. After eating at some other restaurants in the area I have to say they at best ordinary and some outlandishly expensive for some very iffy cooking .
