“Nice surprise”
Reviewed April 18, 2013

We had a flew into Lisbon late one night and stayed at this hotel before leaving the next morning for another destination. It was a pleasant surprise. The room was contempory, clean, comfortable and a good place to settle down after a long day of travel. The breakfast the next day exceeded our expectations for the brand, and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. it was convenient to the airport (just under 10 euro cab ride that night and a 4 euro transfer in the morning). I highly recommend it, if you want to locate close to the airport.

We chose this hotel because of proximity to the airport as we had an early flight. The staff were friendly, the room clean and bright and the bed extremely comfortable. I agree with others re the one hour free Wi-Fi. Unfortunately the nickle and dime attitude (the wi-fi, luggage scale which you fed like a parking meter) took away from the overall stay. We had a great dinner at a local restaurant 5 minutes down the street though the industrial district in which the hotel is located is not one where you want to walk after dinner. The breakfast buffet was adequate to get us going in the morning and the airport shuttle was very convenient.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the parking lot, not the street.

After travelling around Portugal, staying at friendly feeling hotels, it was rather a disappointment to end our holiday in such an inpersonal hotel. The proximity to the airport was the draw; only a few minutes to drive.
There was nothing to fault in the hotel itself; exactly as advertised. The pump action shower/shampoo gel had a basic feel although the bathroom itself was large with a good shower.
We requested a room on a high floor but upon checking in were given a ground floor room. This was quickly remedied, with two hours of free wi-fi as we were given codes for both the ground floor room and the upper room. However, if a request is made on booking, it would be good to have had this provided without a prompt. Yes, we'd agree with other guests that the limited free wi-fi did seem rather mean when it had not been time limited in other hotels.
The breakfast was adequate although the organge juice was not pleasant. There was not a friendly feel in the bland self-service eating area.
With hindsight, should have booked a non-chain hotel in Lisbon itself and got up earlier for the plane!

Room Tip: The rooms at the front did look out over the busy A1 but there were views beyond of the river.

We stayed at this hotel because it was 1.5km from the airport and since we had to be at the airport by 5:00a.m. and this hotel advertised shuttle service to the airport I thought it was the perfect place. However, upon checking-in I learned that the shuttle cost 4 euros/person. For us, a family of 3 would cost 12euros! So we took the cab for 5 euros!!

After travelling throughout Portugal and Spain for 2 weeks this was the first hotel to only give us 1 free hour of wi-fi. I would recommend staying at other hotels near the airport. There are several of them and take the cab for 5 euros to the airport......

One word of warning if you are using a. Satnav to find this hotel using the address provided for this hotel be careful because it will send you into the center of lisbon i suggest you check google maps you will see from that that address is slightly different there are two regions in lisbon with the same street name this confuses satnavs after talking to reception desk this is a know problem please be aware. Hotel location very good for airport.
Nice modern rooms very clean but no free toiletries so take some if you plan to stop here.
Staff very friendly and helpful.

In most respects, this hotel is a gem, and a real bargain, offering a standard of comfort above that of most hotels in its chain with which I am familiar. Every consideration is given to the weary traveller. Checking in and out is easy and flexible. WiFi is available throughout at 1 euro/hour with the first free. The room is certainly adequate for the usual overnight stopover, and even for the extra night that we booked, the modest wardrobe being supplemented by lots of flat surfaces that can accommodate many items that would otherwise have to remain in the suitcase. The free breakfast is perfectly adequate although far from lavish. Eating at other times is more difficult. I could not figure out just what was served in the large breakfast room at lunchtime and dinner, but persons seemed to be munching heartily. I never saw a menu, but some food could be had from machines and also from the bar area, although the best of the latter tended to go quickly. Free transport to and from the airport is provided as needed ( there are no fixed times). It can take longer than desirable to get a drink from the Bar that is attached to Reception and utilizes the sane staff. Our problem on this and our previous visit was to get to the hotel by car and leave it to go to the airport (parking at the hotel is free), This time, despite directions from INFORMATION at the airport and a pre-printed Google Map, we ended up miles away and had to hire a taxi to take us there. Leaving 2-days later, with cast-iron directions from the hotel staff, we found ourselves on the Vasco de Gama Bridge and ended up about 14 km away on the other side of the Tagus and unable to find the way back to the bridge. We only solved that problem by miming our predicament to a farmer who spoke no word of English. But tragedy needs no translation. He hopped on his tractor, and at 15 km/hour drove us to the nearest sign for the bridge. At the other end, we were still uncertain and no one we asked could help until we saw an arrow labelled FLIGHT SERVICES and followed it to a cul-de-sac where the gentleman for whom the arrow was intended was about to climb into his van emblazoned with the name of his company. On learning of our plight, he yelled “Follow me” in Portuguese. I did. We got to the airport in time. Our flight had been cancelled. Moral of the story: stay at this hotel with complete confidence, but if you are a motorist, follow the hotel van!

With a 6 am international flight the next morning, this is a close option. But, the bed was uncomfortable and the rooms tight.

WiFi - after being free at every property we stayed in throughout Portugal, it boggles the mind that this is a profit center for this hotel. Catch up to 2013 - free WiFi is a nice perk that costs the hotel almost nothing.

Check In Staff were pleasant, but check out staff at 4 am seemed less interested.
