“The only airport hotel in Lisbon, worth for a short stay”
Reviewed January 3, 2013

Modern, clean, simple hotel very near to the Airport, but definitely not a walking distance. Upon arrival we found easier to catch a taxi than looking for the shuttle bus, and for the 3-min. long ride with 3 big luggage we payed 10 €. (The driver was not too happy to have such a short ride, so he might have overcharged us but we did not care, as the price was similar to the shuttle's.) Shuttle bus service on the way back to the airport from the hotel is very comfortable, it starts at 5 a.m., for an earlier transfer receptionists can call a taxi.

Terminal 1 (for regular flights) and 2 (for EasyJet flights) are a bit far from each other, if you make a mistake and must change terminal, you must take the free Aerobus between them (goes every 10-15 minutes and takes a 2-minute ride) - if you are not sure, about your terminal, ask the hotel shuttle bus driver, he knows where to go.

The room's size is average, the king size bed is comfortable enough. Although the hotel's children policy allows children to sleep and have breakfast free of charge (under 18, which is quite a generous offer), beware that the 3rd bed in the room is an awful one, does not ensure a comfortable sleep, and it is rather noisy, so every single movement of the child on the bed wakes up the parents. If you want to avoid this, ask for a connecting room solution, but then you must pay for 2 rooms, obviously. The window in the rooms can be slightly opened, Aircon can be switched on/off by the guests, though temperature setting is not available, but. the temperature in our room was just OK. Some rooms look on silent streets with office buildings, other rooms look on the noisy highway, but the windows are excellent sound isolators if you close them. The bathroom is OK and seems clean enough.

In our experience room price is definitely cheaper by booking directly on the Intercontinental Hotel Group's website, even by chosing a flexible rate.

Breakfast is offered freely for every hotel guest from 6. a.m. It offers a buffet of cold cuts, cheese, a rich selection of breads and cookies/muffins, cereals, jam, honey and fresh fruits. Simple, but convenient, the restautrant is clean and friendly. If your departure is earlier, you can get a free coffee in the bar, and an automatic snack dispenser in the lobby offers cheap sandwitches, fruits, snacks and drinks (a couple of Euros each item). There is no minibar in the room, so you can buy a small bottle of water right from the dispenser for 1,50 €. There is a 3-course menu in the hotel for 12 € if you wish to eat during the day, or Pizza Hut order is another option.

Receptionists are professional, they assist you in everything from check-in to early coffee serving.

If you need to spend a night between your flights in Lisbon, do not hesitate to chose this hotel, it is a good value for money for a short night sleep.

I stayed in the hotel with my son as we had a long layover in Lisbon. I was very happy with the friendly staff, the room was very nicely decorated and clean. The hotel has a restaurant with a very limited menu; nothing special but a nice hot meal for an early night before embarking on a long flight. Guests have one hour wireless access included and can pay extra if more time is needed. They also offer a van transfer to the airport leaving every 15 minutes. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Room Tip: Book early and say exactly what you need: double bed or twin beds, etc.

If you are in need of a hotel near the Lisbon airport this is a very good location. Not convenient to public transportation so a taxi will be required (the hotel does have a shuttle service for a fee). Rooms are modern, nicely appointed and very comfortable. An above average breakfast is included so a very good value!

The hotel is 3 minutes from the airport not 10 as previously mentioned. It is not ON the airport but there are NO hotels situated on the airport at present although one is at present being built. It is the NEAREST one to the airport.
We stayed here as we had a very early morning departure and cannot fault the hotel in any way. The room was spacious, bed very comfortable, shower and bathroom spacious and a powerful shower. Great value for money. Breakfast was available from 6am but when we checked out at 5.45 we were offered breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Unusually for Portugal there was a kettle with tea and coffee in the room.

The hotel is close to the airport (we were returning a rental car to the airport before leaving with our flight early next day), so for that purpose it was ok. Would be quite difficult to find without a GPS though. But otherwise, the location is not very good at all. In the middle of an industrial area, with no services nearby. And very far from the city, so the only good reason to stay here is the decent proximity to the airport.

You have to pay for wifi, and there's no restaurant. Vending machines with mostly unedible "food" and snacks and overpriced pizza delivery were the only things available. Not good at all.

The rooms were ok though. Small, but clean and in good shape. Since we only stayed for one night, we didn't suffer too much from the experience...

If you are looking for proximity to Lisbon airport this is a very reasonable choice. About 10 minutes from the airport using the hotel's shuttle, with a cost of 5 EUR. Good room, reasonable restaurant, reasonable price. If you want to do sightseeing this possibly should not be your choice. It is not too close to the city main atractions and a taxi would not be cheap. But you can take a bus for 1.75 EUR and be downtown in about 40mins.

We chose to stay there, cause we had early morning flight next day. It's not walking distance from the airport, so one has to catch a taxi (10eur per ride). The staff was correct and helpful. The room was clean, and cozy. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast was ok, bread, cheese and ham, plus some yogurts. Hotels shuttle to airport costs 4eur per person. In general, it's good if you are there just for layower.
