This is definitely the greatest place to eat in of Milos, as it provides gastronomic, visual and cheerful delights.
Indeed, the food consists in products of the day. Totally greek and nonetheless original. Here you’ll try dishes you won’t find elsewhere, or never that tasty. Our favorites: pork orange and rosemary, veal with olives and onions, the unsurpassable pitarakia, fried calamari, eggplants with feta and basil at the oven, onion pie, beetroots in yoghurt, etc.
In addition, the view on Adamas’ golf is breathtaking, and facing the opposite islands at the sunset is a gorgeous moment. The beautiful white church of this authentic village is quite nearby, full visible, and the bells rhythm the dinner.
The atmosphere is welcoming as it is a family business. Coming around noon to reserve may let you meet Ergina herself, the creative and enthusiastic soul of the house. Sometimes you’ll be pleased to enter the kitchen and taste in advance what’s being cooked at that moment, often a delectable foretaste. Then her son takes the (essential) reservation. You may decide staying for lunch, as the light and the view are superb, and it not busy. In both cases, you will discuss with her husband, a very pleasant man who takes time to explain every kind of specialties.
Portions are generous and prices moderate: is that surprising? Ergina’s gives the feeling that life can achieve some kind of perfection.

Eating in "Ergina's" tavern is a gastronomic experience one shouldn't miss!
It is located in Tripiti, a pictoresque village on the way to "Plaka" (the "chora" of Milos), outlooking the beautiful "Klima" and "Vani" cape.
You will not find "Ergina" in the local guides, the tavern gained its popularity by word of mouth. It is true that a happy customer is the best advertisement!
Ergina's cooking is greek style, simple yet rich and perfectly executed. It is a familly business so it is probable that you will meet Ergina herself (she always greets her customers and asks if everything is ok) and her husband Loukianos (who will help you choose the best plate for your dinner). I call Ergina "the queen" of Milos because her mastery has no match! She is always perfect, warm, generous and welcoming. Cooking is her passion and you call feel that the moment you enter her world and taste her cuisine.
Since Ergina's ability to cook is uncontested, it is a pity if you miss tasting her stewed dishes: "keftedakia" with tomato sauce, "katsikaki" in the oven with cheese & onions, "lahanodolmades", onion pie, zucchini pie, "pork with orange sauce", "potatocake", the local cheese "manoura" and the famous handmade (by Loukianos) "lasagnia" with greek garlic sauce... yuuummmy!! Satisfaction guaranteed !!
The best part, portions are big and prices are great! The average price we paid for 2 persons (5 dishes, plus the best red house wine) was no more than 35 euros! Delicious desserts are on the house!
The service is quick and efficient.
In August you will have to make a reservation, the place is packed.
DO NOT MISS!

Traditional food with local specialities, all cooked very nice. Very good quality of ingredients with reasonable prices. I think it's worth its reputation.

great food, a beautiful view! piece of advice: what they call "lasagna" is actually a plate of pasta, keep that in mind! and it was excellent, and well priced.
