This is an indoor museum with many interactive exhibitions and is great for kids. This is a different museum where it is fun to be and fun to learn. There really are some fun things and some great kids lectures. Pretty expensive though.

We (wife and kids, 10yrs and 12 yrs) were disappointed. The exhibitions are poorly maintained. The dinosaur exhibition was probably the best, though it was the least interactive. If you are looking for a place that is indoors where your kids and run around - well then this is for you. I cannot see any other reason to visit. The "cafe" is miserable. Really really miserable.

This is not your typical tourist attraction. If you are in the Copenhagen area it is likely not going to make your list of must sees but if you have a lot of time to spend with kids, it is a great way to spend the day. I took my three children (13, 11 & 10) to this museum while my husband was on business in Copenhagen. After already seeing the main tourist sights this was a welcome respite from churches and art museums. The kids really enjoyed all the hands on activities. The only word of caution is that it is very expensive. It is included with the purchase of the Copenhagen Card so that makes it much better. We were 15 minutes past the expiration on our cards so we had to pay full price plus the 2% foreign credit card fee. Food options are minimal so plan to have a big breakfast or go after an early lunch.

We bought the Copenhagen card and were so excited to come here. We brought our 5 and 3 year old children. It was nice. Modern, clean, interesting exhibits. But it was not special. We have similar museums in Denver. It was not anything special to Copenhagen and it was a long bus ride. We probably would not go agin if only in the city for a few days, but, if I lived in Copenhagen I would get an annual pass.

We went to Experimentarium with 2 18 year old boys. This was definitely not a place to take them! It's better suited for school-aged children, specifically younger children. The adults in the group took more time going through it, though, and we tried out a lot of the "hands-on" things.
Part of it may have been that it was a hot day, and either it doesn't have air conditioning, it wasn't working, or they didn't have it set low enough. It was very hot in there, so our concentration probably wasn't what it should have been when we went in.
It was very nice that most of the stations were translated to English, so we were able to understand most of what the gist of the stations were.
