We stayed here as part of our Honeymoon...lovely welcome and room 3 was very special overlooking the parterre. all the staff were charming and friendly...surprises in our room.
Lovely breakfast , and dinner..if you have the wonderful cream tea do not bother with lunch !
We walked around the beautiful garden , along the river and through the woods..three days which were bliss. Thank you to all the staff. Ideas for walks...even in the rain ! and we loved the atmosphere.

Another amazing stay at Endsleigh. We stayed in a beautiful suite in this amazing hotel. The staff are all superb and make the stay even more enjoyable. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is fantastic including breakfast , afternoon tea and dinner. Our two dogs are also spoilt when here so they enjoy the experience too. Thank you again and we will be back soon x

To be honest, I don't think there is anything to not like about Endsleigh. Okay, you pay a price to stay, but it is pure escapism. The location is tranquil, the views superb, the food always first class and staff very professional. And if you enjoy fly fishing.....that's a great bit of icing!

My husband book lunch for my birthday. I was hungry and ready for a good feed. I decided to opt for vegetarian. The starter was fine, small, but it's a starter, then the main course came and it was about the same size. Literally 2 quail eggs and 5 thimble sized bits of beetroot and some micro leaves and a splodge of something white. I was very disappointed and had to get more bread. I did complain, but the waitress was not really interested. Vegetarians get hungry too! My husband had a nice bit of beef and I have to say that the chocolate fondant was very good. Grounds are nice to walk around and there are lots of big sofas and log fires to enjoy.

I feel they should re-name the establishment Endsleigh House as the emphasis is on the traditional and on peaceful, romantic evenings.

My Room 15 was so small with low ceilings-it should only be used as a storecupboard not a guest room. The bathroom window did not have a blind -completely unacceptable and the lack of wi-fi and tea -making facilities was mean. There was a bookshelf with Jane Eyre from A Level English...

I hate to criticise because the grounds are sparkling and inspiring and the service polite. With a Malmaison Hotel price tag it was just a little disappointing.

We wanted somewhere special for a night away on our anniversary and were not disappointed. Our room was lovely, nicely decorated with a big bed, nice armchairs and well appointed bathroom. We especially liked the lounge/library areas of the hotel with cosy corners, books and lots of games and videos. The staff are informal and friendly without being familiar. Dinner was excellent, as was the breakfast. The setting and gardens are a delight, even in deepest winter. It felt almost as if we were visiting someone's own country house rather than a hotel.

As an antidote to the busy world we live in Hotel Endsleigh is perfect, tucked away in the Devon countryside, the nights are blacker than black, the days quiet and the hotel tranquil.Beautiful comfortable beds with lovely linens, deep roll top baths, marvellous hot powerful showers and unobtrusive but helpful staff.
As on all previous visits the food in the restaurant both at dinner and breakfast was excellent, interesting but unfussy delicious and well presented.
We have been many times before and it never fails to deliver, on this occassion it was perfect for a proposal! A quiet spot was found out on the parterre on an midwinters morning, it was perfect and will continue to be a romantic retreat for ever.

Room Tip: All rooms are beautifully appointed, but those facing the front have divine views over the River Tam...
