“Old fashion”
Reviewed September 7, 2012

The restaurant L'Ambasciata has a grate history and nowadays continues to propose traditional dishes in a deeply changed market. An excellent restaurant with an old conception of kitchen.
Anyway its cellar is fully stocked and it's possible to try rare wines.

“Beware of restaurants without menus or prices”
Reviewed July 10, 2011

As highly experienced Michelin restaurant travellers, this has to rate as the worst. The clue should have been no menus; no prices and only a total of four covers including ourselves. The bill for a mediocre meal, was an eye watering EUR 339 including an average bottle of wine. This was a stitch up from start to finish. EUR 25 for 2 scoops of sorbet . EUR 50 for a basic main course and EUR 35-45 for a basic starter.
This is a chef who very much engages in theatre on the welcome and then promptly falls asleep at his table in the restaurant whilst his maitre d' is also comfortably ensconced at another table engaging in a conversation all evening with the chef and the other 2 diners.
This was a meal and a bill from hell. How Michelin could even rate a restaurant like this is beyond me.
The chef patron is well past retirement and should have ceased operating a long time ago.
Avoid this restaurant at all cost as otherwise you will be facing the same nasty surprise that we faced this evening.
