Reka Dom
Ranked #4 of 6 Topsham B&B and Inns

Go ahead. Try finding a B&B (the terms does not do it justice by a long shot) as comfortable, welcoming, historic, well located, vibrant, mystical and hospitable at Reka Dom. I can echo all the reviews noting all the accolades. But I can also attest to a certain artistic spirituality, a creative energy, a commitment to attend yet leave you be. And then I have to introduce the gem within an already gleaming jewel box: Little Carrie, Ros and Matt's 2-going-on 3 daughter. Looking for a heart-stopper and heart-stealer? Say hello to dear Carrie. Rooms are great. Facilities first rate. Location superb. Breakfast as advertised and with a gentle musical background, courtesy of Matt's playlist. And I have rarely if ever met a more obliging, pleasant couple than Ros and Matt. If you dare to relax beyond your expectations then Reka Dom is for you.

Room Tip: it would take the wisdom of Solomon to decide which of the 3 is tops

We stayed here for one night only, and just did not want to leave! We stayed in the Tower, and I can honestly say it is fabulous, the views are amazing. The bathroom is lovely, and the bed was very comfortable. It is very quiet, lovely to wake up to the sounds of curlew, and a few geese honking!
The breakfast was the best we had ever had, everything cooked fresh, and homemade! We had the locally smoked haddock with poached eggs, and it was divine!
Matt and Ros are lovely, very welcoming. We recommend it, but as some others have said, dont want everyone to know, in case we cant get back in!

We stayed in The Tower at Reka Dom for a romantic break - what a treat! I'm not going to promote it too much as we'll be going back and I don't want all of you guys reading this to book it up! Very comfy bedroom and stunning views (360 degrees) from your own private sitting room. Perfect!

We stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed every moment. The building is wonderful, interior simple and stylish, breakfast very tasty and good quality. Our room had a small fridge with fresh milk and water, little things that show the hosts understand what makes the stay more pleasant. Having swam to turf I appreciated the deep bath, lovely bathroom. View over the river and period features of the room all added to the stay. Thank you Matt and Ros.

We stayed here for two days/nights in late July for a wedding and the B&B was a perfect location for the town centre (just a short walk down the hill, away from the noise and bustle). It also has off street parking for a few cars which is a benefit you'll only appreciate when you try and park in Topsham over a weekend! A real treat.

Our room was the Powerderham Suite and it was effectively a self contained annex with its own entrance, two bedrooms, a pleasant bathroom and a fabulous master suite containing a four poster bed, a large L shaped sofa and a huge window overlooking the garden and river. A fabulous view indeed.

The room (the whole suite in fact) was very well decorated and full of quality furniture. A really pleasant and relaxing place to stay and a really nice view if you sit up in bed and look across the way. Our hosts were very warm and welcoming and made a fantastic breakfast with hot and cold food available and made fresh each day, finished off with a daily dessert of mini pancakes and French toast. Superb quality and really tasty.

We often pop down to Topsham to see friends and if we ever need accommodation again I will insist on staying here. A fabulous place I really recommend to everyone.

A great location with a lovely view and a short walk from the town. We stayed in The Powderham suite which is all self-contained with your own entrance. The main room is large with 4 poster bed, settee, TV, fridge and tea/coffee makingfacilities. There is also another smaller room with a double bed. The hosts, Matt and Ros are very friendly and accommodating and the breakfast is terrific, poached fruits/ cereals/ fresh fruits/ full english/scrambled egg and smoked salmon/pollock and poached eggs, the choice is great. Topsham has some very interesting secondhand and bookshops to browse and Pebblebed Vineyard is nearby where you can take a tour, very worthwhile doing. The Bridge Inn freehouse is not to be missed as it has great real ales on offer and does very good lunches. All in all the Reka Dom is a great place to stay in a very nice, friendly town. we ate at Oliva's restaurant and I would recommend it.

Room Tip: The Powderham Suite is a self contained suite with a large space.

Reka Dom is probably one of the best B&Bs I've ever stayed at. My partner's family live nearby so we stay in Topsham a few times a year, and by now have tried out all the different options available.

The rooms at Reka Dom are stunning (especially the tower), the owners are really friendly and welcoming and the breakfast is amazing. Seriously. I almost want to keep it a secret so that its easier for us to book rooms in the future.
