We have tried the evening menu which included the best lasagne my wife has tasted and a steak that was cooked exactly as requested not as the chef thinks fit, which happens in many restaurants we have visited.

The Sunday carvery is fantastic and puts all other similar offerings, including those from more upmarket establishments, to shame. You need to try it!

Service is very friendly and the atmosphere is extremely welcoming.

Having had some distinctly average meals in other pubs in the area we were beginning to despair. Now we have discovered this gem it will be our local eating place of choice and we urge others to give it a go.

Like most of the reviewers, we were staying at the Travelodge and so decided to give the pub a try for our evening meal. Liked the fact that it was a quiet, traditional pub serving value for money food. We only stayed 3 nights, ate there all 3 nights and had good food all 3 nights.

Popped down to the Post Inn for dinner as staying at travelodge. Greeted by very cheerful landlord who took our drinks order and led us to a table.

Food was of good quality and good portions. Very good value. Brought to us with a smile and landlord was attentive.

Lovely clean and tidy restaurant area. Table number 7 is nice in far corner.

Good value meal. 4 drinks 2 mains and 2 puds all under £40. Excellent. Will be returning. Thanks for lovely evening

Have used this pub over several years when going to airport. On our last visit we said no more we would find somewhere else.(full of kids at the bar with bikes and skateboards food looked like it had been thrown on the plate) Then yesterday on one of our trips home from the airport we decided to give it another go and my god what a difference. Back to it's welcoming self beautiful home cooked food, clean and welcoming. The food was well presented and hot. good luck to the new owners but somehow don't think they will need it if they keep up the excellent standard's.
only negative was barman had long hair which looked like it had exploded not very good with food around but he was very friendly and help full. ee you again soon.
