Description: Reeds Restaurant has a welcoming and relaxed ambience offering a delicious dining experience for both residents and non-residents, served by friendly and attentive staff. Our Head Chef uses fresh, seasonal, local produce to provide beautifully cooked modern British menus. All dishes are cooked to order. There is a licensed bar with a carefully selected and affordable Wine List. A spacious lounge and outdoor terrace offer comfortable seating for pre-dinner drinks or after dinner coffee. Ample private parking as well as excellent easy access for less able guests. The restaurant is popular for family gatherings, group dinners and small functions. It can cater for 40 buffet-style or 22 seated and is happy to create a menu especially for you.

“Birthday Treat”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 13, 2013

There is a surprising shortage of reliable high class restaurants in East Devon/ West Dorset - even if one includes the excessively expensive ones. After our visit on 9th November for my wife's birthday we're pleased to add Reeds to our list. Service friendly and helpful; starter - crab cakes -perfectly OK if nothing exciting; main courses - duck and pheasant - very nicely presented; desserts (we succumbed) excellent; wine list very good at sensible prices.
The small restaurant is rather obviously attached to a hotel but none the worse for that. It's clean and modern - not West Country chic but it's comfortable and warm, and would probably be cool in summer. And the overall cost of the meal was quite reasonable.
We'll be back.
