We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable and clean and the breakfast tasty and freshly cooked to order. What makes the stay more special is the staff, everyone was welcoming, friendly and helpful.

We had a very comfortable stay at Swallows Eaves and hope to return soon. Our room had everything we needed and a brilliant large bathroom. Dorothy and her helpers work extremely hard to keep everything sparkling - such a delight to stay somewhere so clean and up together. Loved the breakfast, cooked by Dorothy, as well. Can’t recommend it highly enough.
Try it!

Room was clean. There was everything you need.only problem was the bed was not firm enough,I did request a firm mattress but they are all the same and to be fair Dorothy brought in a board but it wasn't much help so we ended up having a restful night.
Breakfast was adequate but felt it would have been better to have quality bread for the toast in place of the sliced bread.

Room tip: We had one of the rooms in the loft space which had good views but only a shower and it was quiet.

I stayed here with my husband and 2 adult children for just one night and we loved everything about the hotel and Dorothy, the proprietor. The bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas were incredibly clean and well decorated, the bed and pillows excellent and the breakfast incredients were really high quality. Dorothy is warm, welcoming and friendly. Would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

Room tip: second floor rooms have great views and are quiet.

A lovely little hotel situated perfectly between Lyme Regis and Sidmouth in the gorgeous little village of Colyton. Set back quietly off the main through road. Beautifully presented, light, airy, spacious but cosy rooms. Everything catered for, complimentary toiletries, tea tray with biscuits, hairdryer, free WiFi and lovely soft towels and bedding to name just a few. Spotlessly clean. Heavenly power shower!!! View from the bedroom on 3rd floor was beautiful even on a rainy day. Wonderful breakfast. Dorothy was a delightful host whilst not being too intrusive. Can’t recommend this place enough. The room you see when you book online is the room you get. Will definitely be returning!
