Just spent the last week in ardwell chalets and had a great time. I would highly recommend if you looking for peace and quiet, beautiful scenery and views, seals in the bay too what more can one ask for!
The chalets themselves come very well equipped just need your own bedding and towels. Chalets very quaint but quirky, there is only six so a lovely Wee secluded spot.
Helen the site manager is very helpful and available should you need anything, loves a blether too
I would strongly recommend a holiday here and I will return next year
Thank you Chris and Helen

Booked for family visiting with 2 small children. Lodge was spotless and had everything they needed. Location was fantastic just a few steps across the grass to a lovely beach with spectacular view. They went home yesterday and we are already looking at when they can return. Surrounding area good for walking and lots to see and do.
We stayedhere For Hogmanay into the new year.
Family of 4 . 2 adults and 2 kids and our dog chihuahuas Lovely cabins with everything that we needed for our stay .
Spectacular views from the big window. Which was the highlight of our stay . We sat eating breakfast staring out to the sea. loved getting up early to see the sun rise and the different colours over the water.
We had many walks along the beach, over to ardwell gardens and along to see the cows .
On Hogmanay another family lit a fire on the beach and had fireworks .
John and Helen were fantastic. If we needed anything (little screwdrivers for my sons remote control car ) they were always there.
We went into Stranraer for the day which was about 18 minutes drive. Lots of shops and cafes.
This place is a great little find.
I have to say the biggest plus about staying in this property was the proximity to the sea about 40 yards and the incredible views over Luce Bay in the evenings as the sun went down with a drink. The property was very functional with no frills (small bedrooms & kitchen and poor shower) but clean and comfortable for our needs. I would choose to go back as it is a great location to fish the rest of Galloway with great views in the evening. The site itself is quite even though there was quite a few people there also in caravans which is a blessing if you don't like noisy sites. Nearest pubs are in Sandhead 3 miles away or one on Clashwhannon camp site 4 miles towards Drumore or in Drumore itself 5 miles away.
