A fantastic little restaurant tucked away in Arrieta right on the sea front nestled in between other places to eat but boy did it stand out in style and quality.....
We had a little table overlooking the sea, and the attention to detail in the surroundings were outstanding. Crisp blue and white table clothes and white napkins all set the nautical theme off well. The presentation of the food was outstanding as well as the taste, all so delicatly seasoned and delivered to perfection.I have rarly tasted food so well made and it was a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. A nice sellection of dishes to suit any dinners taste.
We ate here twice and would have deffinatly eaten there more if we had more time. The waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable about the wine's and could not of been more helpful, just the right amount of attention. The chef was lovely also sparing a minute to say hello on our departure, he came highly recommended from a fellow restaurant owner in Playa Blanca that is a must if you are ever down that way called Romantica...Another fantastic dining experience.
A very enjoyable experience I hope we will be back soon. Vivienne & Angus Isle of Arran Scotland.

This is slightly more formal than most restaurants on lanzarote. The setting is beautiful, it's worth arriving early to secure a table overlooking the sea. There isn't a massive selection of dishes but its all fresh and innovative. The service was absolutely fantastic and really made the meal special. We will definitely be going back.

We ate at El Marinero, just the once at the end of our holiday - had we discovered it earlier we would have been back several times.
On entering, we were surprised that the restaurant and tables were formally set up for diners. We were also surprised at how empty it was.
The waitress was friendly. The menu choices were a bit limited, but hey if grilled fresh is on the menu what the heck! And the prices were about 30% less than we were used to paying on Lanzarote. We were happy with everything, especially the food and service, though the atmosphere, stayed a bit flat even though other diners trickled in.
If there are just two of you dining, a seat at a window table would be best.

We found this small place well away from the usual honey-pots. Good quality fish offered and reasonable prices.

A cut above the beachfront tapas and fish places, with slightly more expensive prices and a smarter feel to match.

We had some delicious squid and tuna carpaccio to start (although parmesan on the tuna was a bit odd), then one of the fish of the day - hake - and the red prawn risotto, and finished up with rice pudding (which was like nothing I've had before - made from ground rice and utterly delightful). A lovely spot by the sea and well worth a visit if you're staying in Arrieta.
