Came here the first time on a recommendation and had to come back again the next day. Had squid, tomato and onion salad the first day and had to come back for the fish of the day plata the next, €28 for two people. It is wonderful in every way and probably won't suit the full english breakfast, home from home crowd.

This place is that family ran taverna thing you've been looking for. The setting, the service, the food are all marvellous. The place is jammed with local families whose kids aren't winging and screaming just eating normal food like their parents, it has great atmosphere. The red and green mojo are worth the trip alone.

If you know your stuff and your thing is perfectly cooked juicy fish and a beach side taverna setting, this should be top of your itinerary. For everyone else, beware, the fish is not battered

I am a great fan of casa de la playa. We eat there every other day when we`re on holidays. The kids surf (now there is a new surf school at the beach) and I have lunch with the rest of the family. Beautiful views, fish as fresh as it gets and the service, for the great number of customers they have, unbeatable. It`s a Lanzarote place, owned by Lanzarote people, serving Lanzarote fish at it`s best.

With a location as fabulous as this place you might expect that the standards were a little lacking - there is easy business for this place right on the beach with a prominent position. The experience of dining here however is exceptional, the food is just delightful (deep fried baby squid, garlic prawns and sardines were superb) the grilled fish is honestly stunning. The great thing is that they cater for children who may not like the fish offer - they have a diverse line in catering for everyone. In terms of location, quality, friendliness of staff and excellent value for money this HAS to be one of the best places on the island of Lanzarote (much better than the over-priced places El Golfo has to offer). Make a trip to Arrieta and see how a day at the beach can deliver such a wide range of delights. Believe me, this is one special place, its not romantic fine dining but it is as good a beach seafood restaurant serving well cooked Spanish favourites as you'll find anywhere. Worth a special trip - don't forget the swimwear , the beach is one of the best on Lanzarote.

Typical cuisine varied, hearty meals, very friendly staff, located on the beach in a very suggestive place, there has also accepted until 22:30 unlike the others that are already closed at 21

We stumbled across this place by chance having met a couple from London in a mountain village who said we must go to the village/beach of Arrieta while we have the hire car.
We parked up feeling quite hungry and saw the restaurant, what a find it is a typical Spanish restaurant mostly locals and was packed out on a Monday afternoon, we were served prompt which was good as they were busy, we had a lovely table right by the sea front. We could see all the fish platters coming out they looked mouth watering and what we liked the staff were so proud of their food and quite rightly so.
We both had the Tuna steaks, salad and chips but was shocked to find you get 2 massive steaks each wow that wouldn't happen over here they were cooked in fresh herbs and we said that was one of the best meals we have ever had. We also had warm bread rolls with the local dipping sauce.
So if you are ever passing this place do go in you won't regret it.
