…and as you sit at your table watching the fellow in the kitchen hand grating a massive slab of mozzarella – well, you just know the food will meet you expectations. It appeared that several locals were dining here which added to the authenticity of the experience.
I chose the Pizza Capricciosa with various salamis, artichoke hearts and numerous other complimentary toppings. The cheese was thick, just the way I like it.
Rose vino followed by tiramisu for dessert. I gorged without a twinge of guilt.
For my first and only Italian meal while in Europe, I don’t think I could have enjoyed it more. Loved it!
Dolceacqua is a quaint charming little town. My only regret is that I had limited time to visit, so when YOU go, please make sure you have time to explore.
