A compact restuarant on the corner of the harbour and high street. Outside dining available. We had reserved a table for chez buck as there were 15 of us, so we were prepared. We arrived at 730 as planned and were told they were full and we would have to wait 15 mins. We lingered about outside for 45 minutes until our table was ready. No one offered us a drink whilst we were waiting. This place offers traditional french food and extremely fresh. The meal was nice once we finally sat down and ate around an hour and a half later. A fairly average dining experience, not one that will stay with me forever. The owners did provide two bottles of wine on the house which was kind but nothing more than we deserved for our horrific wait.

We had a wonderful welcome from attentive and helpful staff. They were very good at translating our sometimes ineffectual french! The Gallettes and Crepes were of a very high standard and the Entrecote was very good. Altogether a good restaurant which i would not hesitate recommending.

We were able to sit outside on a hot summer lunchtime, under an umbrella, with a cooling sea-breeze.

The Moules et Frites were excellent, and good value, and according to the 'bumf', locally caught and on the plate within 24 hours. The gallettes (buckwheat savoury crepes) and the sweet crepes were also of a high standard.

Service was efficient, although a bit manic for a while, but overall, no issues.

The only negative was that when we visited the fair was in town, blocking much of the excellent views.

Ham and chips, the French pride themselves with the jambon, this was plastic
Muscadet good, entrecôte not bad, my one year old decided this was much better than the jambon

This restaurant was warm and friendly and welcoming. It can be hard to find vegetarian food in France and it sometimes feels like they don't quite get it and pop in just a bit fish or meat! I had a beautiful buckwheat crepe which they happily adapted by not adding the lardons. My partner had a fish dish which he was very pleased with. The service was discreet.
Thoroughly recommend to vegetarians and carnivores alike.
