in a spur of the moment decision, one big group of close family friends decided to take a trip to caramoan. i was worried at first that i wouldn't be able to get accommodations at so short a notice. but perhaps it was meant to be that we would be accommodated (all 13 of us) at rds. just after a quick exchange of text messages, we were already able to get reservations. when we arrived, we were immediately impressed with the cleanliness of the place. a sumptuous meal was immediately served for us to partake. then we took the island-hopping banca tour. a caramoan trip is all about discovering the wonders of its pristine islands. there were no huts nor seats for us to use. we just had to sit on the sand as we rested after swimming. rds then provided us with our snacks as we stayed for a short while on the last island that we explored. we headed back to our home-like hotel late afternoon. we had time to bathe, watch tv, and play some board games before dinner. i opted to stay in our room and watch ali macgraw's love story. :-) then my kids called me for dinner. rds set up their garden so beautifully that made dining out so pleasurable. the following day we headed back home. it is then that i knew that a trip to caramoan is not for the faint-hearted. the boat ride from guijalo port to sabang is a bit disorganized. passengers scrambled aboard to get their chosen seats. the waves were getting rough and the banca kept on tossing and swerving. a man fell to the water as he boarded the banca. it took around 2 hours for us to reach sabang. we took our packed lunch, which rds prepared for us, at the parking area of our vehicles. we then laughed our hearts out as we shared our escapades of our trip to caramoan.
our stay at rds was heartwarming. ma'am myrna and her staff have made it so. thanks so much po for sharing with us your home. :-)
