“Pampered adventure”
Reviewed May 15, 2012

Caramoan is really an adventure: from going there, with the boat ride and all, to the island hopping. It was our first time and we did not know our way around. So we searched for the best rated home stay resort and it all pointed to residencia de salvation. We booked early and we never regretted it. The staff took care of everything: fetching us at the airport, renting a van, reserving a relatively comfortable seat in the boat, the accommodations, food – which by the way is excellent in terms of taste and quantity– and the island hopping trips. Our guide knew how to make the trip enjoyable and an adventure, he even led the way to the rock climb to enable us to see the hidden lagoon. And our schedule was really maximized. A truly enjoyable 3-day-2night stay for us.

Residencia de salvacion is really the best.

From the time that we booked until the time that we left, the RDS staff have been a blessing to us. They reply promptly when we inquired, even if it was already late in the evening - they were very patient in answering ALL our questions too. they made sure that the planning and reservation process went as smoothly as possible. it was like talking to someone that you've already known for a long time. RDS coordinated well with us, wanting to know the time when we left manila, to the time that we left the sabang port, just so they could be there in time to meet us at guijalo. When we got there, the staff (led by Manay Gina) were very welcoming. the house was very homey and the rooms were very clean. Food was great and you can even make requests on what you want to have. if it's available in the market, they will get it for you. Also they cater to your other requests (like heating water for the tea that i brought with me-- Thanks Manay Maiden). Our tour guide was very patient and accommodating. it doesnt hurt that she has a good sense of humor too (We miss you April)! When we left, it wasnt only the island that we missed but the staff in RDS as well. To sum up our RDS experience, service was superb. Value for money's excellent. Sleep quality's fantastic. RDS is very well maintained. Rooms are very homey and comfortable! will we choose to stay with RDS again? YES YES YES!

I’ve been scouting for a Caramoan tour package that offers reasonable price and evenhanded services for our summer escapade. A good friend of mine recommended RDS a year ago but my quest on finding a nice place to stay with in Caramoan didn’t stop. Reading blogs and reviews aid me list down 3 tour packages: a bit expensive, the cheaper, and the cheapest! Which of these made me decide to choose RDS and why? Since I have 3 on my list, I started to compare the price, place, food, itinerary and inclusion. Let me start with the inclusion, RDS offers free use of snorkeling equipment and wi-fi, breakfast when you arrive before 10 am, unlimited coffee, choco drink and tea and free packed lunch on the last day. So, I marked RDS for the two free meals and unlimited coffee, choco drink and tea which the others don’t have. As for itinerary, the 3 offer the same islands and churches to visit. What about the food? Only RDS offers eat-all-you-can meals (not rationed) with snack in between meals. Now, let us go down to the price…our rule, we don’t mind the amount as long as it worth the price...RDS is a bit expensive yet it offered more than what we’ve expected. True enough, the air-conditioned rooms are clean with a 32-inch TV, the beddings are just like in the hotel, the toilet with hot and cold shower are satisfactory, the air-conditioned dining and living area with videoke is simple yet elegant. They served not just eat-all-you-can food but scrumptious meals! Our tummies were always full of delectable dishes of squid, shrimp, and fish of expensive type, veggies, meat and mouthwatering fruits, as well as yummy snacks! We missed the crabs due to unavailability. The staff served us warmly and treated us like a family. Ate Gina gave us another free snack aside from the free packed lunch on our last day! So sweet gesture of her! They are highly commendable! So when our tour was finally over, the “a bit expensive” became “the cheapest” tour package! Thank you so much! Kudos to Residencia de Salvacion!

RDS is really a place suited for every traveler who wants to be pampered during their stay in Caramoan. The quiet place, clean rooms and comfort rooms, the warm smiles, and the sumptuous food were just some of the things that made our stay at RDS unforgettable. Enjoying the islands of Caramoan is a very interesting experience topped with the accommodating staff of RDS, what more can we asked for!!!! Thank you RDS and we are looking forward to return and have another exciting vacation next time. God bless and good luck.....

Thank you very much for the nice time and memorable stay, it was really indeed one of the best trips we had!!! True enough as posted in all the Blogs, you serve sumptous delicious eat all you can meals, plus the personalized caring and concerns and service,,, you go and make extra effort to satisfy all our cravings, my daughter had an allergy at that time of our stay and you really prepared separate menu for her!!! And evn my own gastronomic cravings of freshly broiled fish!!!! Yummy talaga,,,,ohh the shirmps was a total blast too!!! And he sinigang,,,,,and many more,,,..and to take note of the very clean big rooms, and crisp clean beddings,,,,and very spacious recieving and dinning room....love the place,,,,

Given the chance will go back again, and just hang out in your place,,,,even minus the island hopping and beaches,,,a stay with you is already what we wanted, and called a vacation,,,hassle free....well, kudos and thanks to manay Gina, very attentive and warm, to may ambi the cook, wish we could take you home,,,,your cooking was great!!! To the beautiful girl who would always assist us when we eat, and have our native merienda ready everytime we come home!!!! Of course the hot water is always on hand for my unlimited coffee,,,,i love the native merienda like the suman, ibos and linukay, and balisong song,,,,ohh it was our favourite,,,,and we would always bring it in our room and had midnight snacks....

Not forget kuya ramil the tricycle driver, and bob marly,,,hahaha our tour guide (with colored turban) very attentive to our needs, to the extent of buying me buko in one of the islands...hope next time he will be our guide again, and will give us more info, re the islands, an assignment for him,,please check and send my regards to our tour guide kuya budoy and angel at the Our Lady Rosary, hope they had painted the steps with the markings as to the number of steps per hundred...hope when i come back,,, i would see it...

Again!!! RDS is highly reccomended....we love the place and people soooo much....God Bless!!

My family had a great time in Caramoan this long holy week break, and thanks mainly to RDS and its staff! The moment we arrived in Guijalo Port, RDS took over in managing our vacation. From food preparations (now I believe the bloggers who keep on saying that the food in RDS is very very good!) upto the arrangement of our daily island hopping, everything is hassle-free...

RDS type of service is "personalized". It was like having a relative in Caramoan who took care of my family during our stay!

Regards to all the staff of RDS....and see you when we return to Caramoan!

I would just like to thank Residencia de Salvacion (RDS) for a charming Caramoan experience. Fantastic staff... very clean rooms (with very clean bathrooms!)... and sumptuous meals... These are just some of the things that will make me want to go back to RDS and explore more islands of the Caramoan. Again, thank you very much!
