Loved this place. It was the last couple of nights after trip round the Kathmandu valley and Tibet, so it was great to relax for a couple of days. If you wanted to see the sights, although the hotel is only a few miles into the city, the traffic is so bad it takes a while (although there is a free shuttle that runs a couple of times a day). However, it was perfect for us. The room was huge and beautiful, breakfast was great. The grounds are lovely and we saw deer and monkeys. You can't walk by yourself in the forest unfortunately, but have to book a guide. Food and drink was excellent, even if more expensive than in the centre of town (which is probably to be expected). Service was excellent - there was always someone on hand to help but never felt fussy or over-powering. Throughly recommended for relaxation.
