“great location/bat cave entrance/outstanding burger”
Reviewed January 31, 2013

Only the insider's know the entrance to drive through is through an alley,(you'll see cars going in there) and some awesomely courteous person from In and Out rushes up and take your order and keeps that line moving... its a great idea, elminates the confused who get to the window and have a 20 minute chat, so good move. The burgers are amazing, double double with onion, fries are fresh, shakes delish, and cheap. SMOKES Fat Burger and Five Guy, those two not even close in terms of balance of flavors AND the later in service.

“A quality burger”
Reviewed September 3, 2012

This In-and-out Burger is about 10mins drive from central Beverly Hills. Strangely for LA there is no parking, but you can use a parking meter around the corner which gives you 30mins for 50 cents, plenty of time to pop in and get food. The queue for the drive-in was huge, so if you can, go inside and people watch. The system is really quick - one team take orders and gives you a number, a second team cooks and delivers the food to the counter. We went for a standard cheeseburger and one burger protein style (no bun, but wrapped in a large iceberg lettuce instead). The burgers were great - you can really taste the different ingredients - but I found the fries to be a bit bland. Retro styling is fab, and it was clean and pleasant to sit in. A nice change if you are looking for a cheap lunch.

“Quality fast food with retro appeal”
Reviewed May 18, 2012

Quite possibly the best fast food I've tasted, in the quintessentially retro setting of this particular branch of the west coast diner chain. Go double-double (two burgers, two slices of cheese), but hunt out the not-so-secret menu - available online - and have it animal style! Great service, but long queues around the block for drive thru at busy periods.
