“A place to experience”

Paul & I were most fortunate to have won a holiday package to the Gaia Retreat & Spa. July was our chosen month seven days away from the New Zealand winter. A retreat and spa experience to remember. Loved the tropical surroundings. Our unit was spacious and very private. The meals were amazing. Breakfast, lunch and dinner, all exceptional. Staff were also great, there to assist in anyway. We were able to experience most of the treatments, activities and walks the retreat had to offer. Yoga was not for Paul though. I would love to return!!

all I can say is wow.. We have had many retreat experiences, but gaia is exceptional. Words cannot actually describe the experience your body has , when you spend time at this retreat. From the moment you arrive , every need is seen to, from a physical, spiritual and emotional aspect. The whole ambience of the place nurtures your soul. The staff seem to connect with you on an individual basis, and both my husband and myself will certainly be returning to this special place on a regular basis..
Thanks Gaia for giving us the opportunity to experience your special magic.

The magic of the land envelopes you, the setting is a peaceful, serene environment, ideal for letting go and re-connecting. The magical therapists at the retreat spa gently and skillfully take you away to a place where all is well, and ever will be. The magicians in the kitchen create mouthwatering masterpieces with the freshest, tastiest and simplest flavours, nourishing body and soul. Every single staff member brings their own magic to this beautiful place, allowing guests to feel instantly at home, superbly cared for above and beyond expectations and free to just be. I have visited the beautiful Gaia Retreat before and I will visit again - it is worth every cent to have time out to do nothing, or join in as desired. I have never experienced anywhere quite so lovely, quite so magical.

Gaia is a place where you can go and feel at home at once.
Everyone working there perpetuates the feeling of calm and serenity that is a part of a visit to Gaia. The gentle pace where there is no need for thought or decision.
Even the delicious meals are organised for you and the only routine involves going to breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Not to mention the food was all organic and healthy so that a visit to Gaia feels like your nourishing not only your body but your spirit as yoga and meditation are also on offer.
The packages include amazing treatments with aromatherapy products that leave you glowing and relaxed.
It's been 2 weeks since my daughter and I were there on the Mother/ Daughter package and we are still feeling the effects of calm and peace that have stayed with us ; together with a momentum to eat better and live better (we've been drinking fresh juices daily since going there).
The views are spectacular and walking around the property is a joy.
A must for anyone who needs to centre themselves!

Gaia Day Spa is an absolute slice of heaven tucked away in the hills of Byron Bay. I had the most incredible massage today with Darby. Words cannot express how grateful I am. He managed to relieve so much of my emotional, mental and physical stress. I floated out of there feeling like I had been on a holiday for a month. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, so tranquil and relaxing. All of the staff are lovely and I cannot wait to go back!

Gaia is a truly unique place. A retreat and spa with world class food and exceptional therapists in a beautiful rural setting. I had planned to go to Bali for a week of yoga and meditation in Indonesian luxury. At the airport I discovered my passport didn't have the minimum 6 months validity required. Spirits low, I rang Gaia. By chance a room was available and four hours later I arrived. Now after 6 days at Gaia I'm leaving, feeling amazing, and knowing I will be back.

Set in the lush Byron hinterland with what feels like acres and acres of its own rolling hills, Gaia is unlike anywhere else I have been in Australia, or around the world. Gaia is luxurious in a laid back effortless way with Balinese touches and some great contemporary art. The rooms are simple and comfortable with lovely small touches. If you can, book a terrace room; the private daybed is great spot to curl up with a book and the bathtub is heaven with its big complimentary tub of naturally scented bath salts and Gaia's soft filtered rainwater. Not that the property is short of secluded spots, my favourite is the hilltop daybed with rolling countryside laid out at your feet as far as the eye can see.

Gregg and his wonderful team treat you like a valued guest and personal friend and they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and cared for. I eat no gluten, dairy, eggs or sugar which often leads to boring food and an annoyed chef when travelling. Not at Gaia. The food was exceptional - natural mostly organic ingredients - many grown in their own kitchen garden - complex flavours and beyond beautiful presentation. Top restaurant quality food which is clean and packed with nutrients.

The spa is dedicated to healing and nurturing tired souls with its large team of highly experienced and open-hearted naturopaths and therapists. A Naturopath wellness consult given by Gaia helps to navigate the many therapies on offer and tailor a programme to you. From Esoteric massage to naturopathy and counselling, whatever ails you, body or soul, Gaia can put you on the road back to health and harmony.

I came by chance and I leave knowing I will return every year. Thank you Gaia, you have revived me.

Room Tip: Go for a terrace room if budget allows. The big daybed gives you more private space and the bathtub...

Thank you so much to Gregg and the team for all your giving. Gaia represented for me a path towards inner peace. I Left feeling more grounded and grateful for all the love I received; from the beautiful food, kindness from the staff, the wonderful treatments and breath taking surrounding. Nothing was too much trouble. I can't imagine that anything could be more perfect.
