“Fantastic Food & Service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 19, 2013

I used to live round the corner from the restaurant, a quaint country pub, with beautiful decor in keeping with the local equestrian and agricultural tones.

I ate here on several occasions and each and every time the food was fantastic, the service outstanding and the atmosphere warming.

Highly recommended. Shame it's not round the corner from me now!

We stayed for a night and were very impressed with the quality of the stay. Everything was very high standard, from the coffee machine in the room to the very tasty breakfast we had by the fireplace. It definitely makes you feel you get a lot of value for your money.

Luxury, modern accommodation with Egyptian cotton sheets and tasteful decor. Very clean and inviting with Tassimo drinks machine, mini flapjacks and bottled water complimentary. The accommodation is off the premises from the main pub allowing for peace and quiet if needed but a few steps away from the pub if required. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed in February for 3 nights with our 2 year old and had a great stay.

The B&B consists of the old inn which is a restaurant and a separate building consisting of about 8 bedrooms. The bedrooms are purpose built and really beautiful with large wet room bathroom with a really powerful hot shower. There is also a brilliant little coffee machine in the room and fresh little biscuit with our tea cups every day. The Wifi in the room didn't work, but there was a cable in the room to connect physically. We brought our own cot though I think you can pay to use theirs. Shame we couldn't separate our room at all to give us a little privacy from her cot. Room also got quite warm at night so we turned off all the heating.

We ate in the restaurant on our first night and for breakfast each day. I would highly recommend the food, it was not B&B standard at all, but top-rate restaurant. The breakfast was also incredible, particularly the English Cooked Breakfast, especially the beautiful locally sourced sausages.

Overall a lovely stay with beautiful food, and all at a good price.

Room Tip: All the same I think

We have stayed here before, a couple of years ago, and thought it would be good to use again. On arrival, the Inn was busy so it took several minutes before anyone welcomed us or gave us the key to our room.

We were not greeted in a friendly manner so this was disappointing and neither was the service over breakfast particularly good, bearing in mind the Inn was not in any ways busy.

The rooms are comfortable and modern but the coffee/tea/chocolate drinks machine does not produce hot drinks! OK if you don't mind luke warm!

By the way, don't ask for Mineral water at the bar; at £2.45 for a small bottle, it's a bit steep in my opinion.

I had the pleasure of staying 3 nights at this hotel while working in the area Its a Gem of a place great staff very helpful the rooms are super quality and very comfy, beds so so so comfy !!!. A super wet room of the bedroom no bath just a great shower. large TV coffee machine etc very top quality.
The pub/hotel is situated in a very nice location very quite and old e world e

The Food in the restaurant is first class very hot very nice although from where I live its a bit on the high side for pricing good wine selection and super local beers The staff are young but very good at what they do a they are great asset to the place

I can not thank them enough for the hospitality would and will be staying again.
One other point great links to the M4
Hope to see you all again soon.

Room Tip: They only have 6 rooms and they are all very high standard although slightly different

Having tried a number of disappointing hotels in S Gloucestershire it was a relief to discover this gem.

The pub is a lovely oak beamed affair and serves great value and very tasty food alongside an ever changing selection of real ales. Adjacent to the pub, the owners have constructed 6 modern and well appointed bedrooms

The staff are extremely helpful and welcoming
