This is one of the few B&Bs in the area that is not directly on the busy main road. The busy-ness should diminish once the larger highway 50 is completed, but for now... Au Fil des Ans is nicely away from the worst of the traffic.
But more importantly, the room we stayed in was lovely, cosy and roomy. The two breakfasts were some of the best we've ever had in a B&B setting! The dining room is also run as a small cafe and the menu items for lunch looked interesting and reasonably priced. Denis, the host, is most welcoming and helpful. We would certainly recommend this B&B for your Montebello and area visit.
If you like to walk in nature, check out Les Chutes de Plaisance and the property of the Chateau Montebello (park for free in the lot designated for the national historic site - Manoir Papineau). The chocolate shop in the old train station adjacent to this parking lot -- Chocomotive -- is also fabulous.
