Everything from sled dogs to airplanes -- don't miss it! The gift shop is a treasure -- if you want a battered old Yukon license plate as a souvenir of your trip, here's the place to buy one.

We spent over 3 hours touring this museum. It should be better advertised, we almost missed going there. What a great lesson in Canadian history!

We visited the museum just before getting our plane back to Frankfurt. It is a very (surprisingly) large museum on very different transportation objects, related to the Gold Rush but not only. It also has some planes, some War machines and a nice little part related to the Sled Dogs. I really advice to go to the airport one hour before schedule and to got visit the museum, it is only 5 minutes walking from the checkin area of the airport.

…if you are interested in the history of transportation up north. Here you will find everything from a railcar to plane to cars. The photo collection alone is worth the price of admission. Combine this visit with one of the Yukon Beringia Interpretive Centre next door, and yo can spend a very pleasant and educational morning or afternoon.

This museum is very well done - lots of exhibits that help you see the role of transportation in the development of the Yukon, especially during the Klondike Gold Rush. We saw plenty of kids and they really seemed to be enjoying the museum. Definitely worth a visit - and don't miss the Yukon Beringia Interpretive Center next door!
